Pretty well. One of our FCs made a new doctrine with weapon disruptors and stuff. In practice, not everybody uses/knows how to use it, so I made a longer jam-range falcon. Seems fair to me; they aren't helpless, but neither am i.

i think they changed the boost mechanics. i'm not sure about rorqual boosts, but i am aware that there used to be 'off grid' boosts which you now have to be on grid for.

Explain to a complete pvp noob - how do you guys catch these ships? Why don't they see you coming from a few jumps out? Or, why don't they get out asap when you enter local?

Happy to! So the first step is we stage in a wormhole, and roll the null-sec static to get an entrance to a random null-sec system. If we are lucky, this gets us into a juicy region. If we're /really/ lucky, there may be targets in the exact system we roll into. Sometimes one of our hunters has cloaky campers in the region, which helps a lot. But usually we send out hunters to nearby systems, and hope they are fast enough to catch a target. HOWEVER, 9/10 times the targets will gtfo before/as a hunter lands on them. Meaning that most of the time when we make a catch, they did something wrong. Or, in the case of rorquals, i think their industry mode prevents them from warping for X minutes? But, as you can see here, rorquals may have a P.A.N.I.C. module, allowing them to call for backup while lighting a bullshit-OP invincible cyno. TLDR; most of them do.

Only problem with that is alphas can't use a cloak, so you wouldn't be able to take a black ops bridge. But if you run incursions and/or subsidize your account by extracting and selling the skills you trained that month, Omega status for one account is not too hard.

unfortunately in order to take a black-ops bridge, you must have a covert ops cloaking device, for which you must be omega. If you wanted to grind isk to get omega, i would suggest looking into incursion groups such as "Warp To Me" or "The Valhalla Project". You can make a lot of isk pretty fast that way, and AFAIK they do welcome alphas.

Delve is like a stocked pond. Warp in bubble the rorq, drop an inhih, cloak up on grid. Decloak a bomber, ref the mdepot(if he has one). If he lights a cyno, move on to the next one. If he doesn't, well +1 rorqual kill am I right.

Sure, that guide is still good for some basic info. Your best bet to learn eve is to join a noob friendly corp. Those guys are well practiced in helping train new pilots. And if you're interested in the kind of content you saw here, I made a training video specifically for that :)
