There is a simpler way of doing this. after creating the "robe" (which was a great idea) and starting the second row (1:38) , then place two closed rings on the open ring you are about to add on, this does so that as soon as it is in place it has all 6 rings it needs. when then adding second (and further) ring in second row (2:02), then place one closed ring on the open ring before adding it and bring it through the bottom 3 rings on the left site (the two of them is as normal, and the third one is one of the two closed rings we just added before) and the two rings as normal on the right side, now this ring goes through 6 rings as well. and so on.. this is quicker and you dont have to do passes over the same pice over aging(smaller change of missing something) : what makes it quicker is that you can close more rings before adding them, having them isolated form the pice makes it easier. Furthermore this also allows you to pick up the pice fewer times, saving you time orienting the rings befor continuing adding more rings with that said, thanks for showing the weave :D

I started my 6 in 1 project weeks ago, and I like weaving two rows at once by dropping a closed ring into the ring I'm weaving into five. It's the easiest way I can do it.

Does this add significant strength to butted mail? I made a pair of 4-in-1 chauces, and at the end of a weekend of faire, the belt straps have several links missing, some (the thin ones in front, even hanging by two rings. I wonder if strengthening the straps would be a permanent fix for this, especially since I want to replace most of the mail strap with leather straps than snap on and off, so they'd need to connect to something strong.

Can you turn 4in1 into 6in1?
@mechanicalbrain43667 жыл бұрын
Hm. It is possible, but it will be much easier to start making 6 in 1 from the begining, not turning 4 in 1 into 6 in 1.
