Mart. The ending of a turn represents a momentary but significant break in the action. Troops who become pinned during a turn remain so until they have sufficient shock rallied off AND the turn ends. In this example the NCO had reduced shock sufficiently but only ending the turn allows them to rally from being pinned. Hence the decision. Rich

No. In fact no shock is removed at the end of the turn. A unit becomes pinned when they have more points of shock than men. A unit routs when they have double shock than men. If I hade six men with 7 points of Shock they would be pinned. If the turn ended now they would be pinned throughout the next phase and still have 7 points of shock. But if their NCO had reduced that Shock to 5 and the turn ends they would still have 5 shock but no be pinned.

At the end of the video he mentioned that the Brit is sensibly keeping Churchill tank out of harm's way of the Jerry's Panzerfausts and Panzerschreck. Is that because of distance? Or terrain line-of-sight (or both considerations?) Why didn't the German squad in the hedgerow (Brit's right/Jerry's left) use Pf when the tank stuck its nose out?

Can you fire the mortar from off-board? In real life, the mortars can range several 'klicks' but the scale of the terrain board looks to be only a couple hundred meters at most. Similarly with the tank - barring any line-of-sight blockages, the tank could be off-board across the room (or even in a another room in the house for that matter!) and still range the farmhouse. Does Chain of Command account for that, or do all firing elements need to be on-board in order to play?

Yes, all 3" mortars and larger are off-table, just like artillery. However, you will generally have a forward observer on table. As for other off-table elements, it is up to the scenario. One of the pint-size campaigns has a scenario with an off-table 88mm gun. In regular games, any vehicles picked will have to get on table to be able to shoot.

Has there been a change from the previous videos, I believe is was said that units deployed from the jump off cannot fire. but at 5:24 the mortar deploys and fires.

You can shoot when deploying, but not move
