refuelling if done right can make f1 faster and have more pit stop strategy variance. Remember France 04, Schumi pitted 4 times and still won the race, 4 fast qualifying stints on low fuel, on the best car of the season. Great explanation by the way. Keep up the f1 videos.

@m.g74082 жыл бұрын
Same for me 😂 few years back Id be like whats the point of that cars going round in circles hows that interesting? Sitting 2 hours for 2 seconds of excitement and overtaking. With basketball or football you get that every 20 seconds or so 😂😂 but my way in was quite different I was quite interested in the technology involved for some years and how the cars work before going into the actual driving side and sport of it, but sadly after this season Im not sure I can call it a sport anymore or renew my interest in following it.

Great video. The best way to understand and practice F1 race strategies is playing Motorsport Manager. One more thing that you didn't say is that when drivers are on yellow flag behind a safety car, the tyre temperatures drop low, and so does the grip.

This is a valuable contribution to the understanding of the sport. We hear a lot about the importance of the skill of the driver, also how lucky he is/was. Seldom is there proper credit and understanding to those who engineer the strategy. All that said, it's an interesting exercise to apply this thinking to the notorious final race to the 2021 season in Abu Dabi. The importance of tyre strategy in this race is consistently ignored by passionate partisanship in the fans. I think it's clear that Hamilton should have boxed earlier but did not is a crucial factor in how the race ended.
