I have used the DGP oil and love it. When purchasing from box stores like Home Depot yes it is expensive. Directly from DGP site in the gallon container if you purchase 4 gallons the price is about $26.00 a gallon. I like that it is a year round oil and most of the time cutting is done in the winter where it really shines and the fact I am not spraying gallons of harmful oil on my property. Nice demo video Kenny 👍

If the chain oil producers keep raising their prices, I have no idea what to use. I was using Husqvarna and Stihl bar oil from the local shops which have not increased the prices very much. If you are a logger or tree farm owner, they will give you about a 25% break on the prices. Thank you for sharing the good, bad and ugly on the oils shown in your video. Every little bit of knowledge is helpful. Thanks!

Nice little comparison. Bottom line is if your chainsaw bar oiling system is working " properly " most all bar oils will do the job. A shot of air from your air compressor cleans the rest of the mess. IMHO if you have to cut firewood at -20 degrees F, you did not plan very well, and no bar oil can fix that!
@coryernewein3 ай бұрын
I'd rather it be a little cold, the wood splits better and is easier on the saw.

Quote from Ne Life newsletter: Words of Encouragement Therefore encourage and comfort one another and build up one another, just as you are doing. 1 Thessalonians 5:11 Imagine how great it would be to have someone providing you with a constant supply of encouragement. When you get in the habit of encouraging yourself, that is exactly what you can have. All day long, you are thinking and saying things to yourself. You have the power to choose precisely what those thoughts and those words will be. Choose to make them positive, uplifting, and encouraging. Make good use of the thousands of opportunities you get each day to provide yourself with support and direction. When you catch yourself mentally beating up on yourself, decide to stop such destructive behavior right then and there. Instead, give yourself a few words of real, sincere encouragement and notice how much more energized and effective you immediately feel. In addition, get in the habit of offering encouragement to others whenever you get the chance. That will make you more likely to send even more encouragement in your own direction. During each waking moment, you are constantly thinking or talking to yourself or others. Choose to use all that dialogue to move yourself and your world in a positive direction. Father in heaven, today we are reminded we are to be encouragers! Help us to use our words and thoughts to be an encouragement to others and to ourselves. Help us to encourage ourselves in You and lead us to others who are in need of that same encouraging we pray. In Jesus name, AMEN! Encouragement really does make all the difference.

I live near the border with France, where the 5 liter canister costs 10 euros. Everything has become quite expensive here in Germany. Our government right now is very bad. I wish you a nice day. Good everyday person review! That gdp stuff is insanely priced and folks who can afford to run that stuff is either rich or sponsored. Your freezer test will be a good one, generally thicker oils don't fair well in the cold Temps I find but never tried biodegradable personally but the winter petroleum based stuff I have I can confirm does not flow well in -30 to -40c, but summer petroleum versions are even worst and barely flows in -20c but most smart people aren't running a saw in the -30 to -40c Temps lol but the Mechanic in A Bottle looks to be an American thing can't find it at home depot in canada

Making Adjustments So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal. 2 Corinthians 4:16-18 Is what you’re doing now getting you where you want to be? If not, then it’s time for some changes. Yes, change can be frightening and difficult. Yet it is immensely more desirable than continuing to put your effort into going where you don’t want to go. Most likely, some things you’re now doing are working and some things are not. It will pay you enormously to figure out which are which. Achievement is a moving target, and conditions are constantly changing. So regularly adjusting your approach is necessary to a successful life. Even the most skillful captain must make adjustments in the ship’s course along the way. An important part of reaching your destination is recognizing when you’ve strayed off the path and then finding a way to get back on it. Take a good look at where you’re headed, honestly, objectively, and with the intention of making whatever adjustments are necessary. Keep yourself pointed toward the goal, and your actions will surely take you there. Father in heaven, today we are learning how to make adjustments. Sometimes life changes in ways we don’t expect, plans change, obstacles arise and we have to adjust. Thank You that even amongst all this, You are always the same! Show us areas we that have gotten off course in our lives and help us make the adjustments we need to get back on course. In Jesus name, AMEN! I can’t change the direction of the wind, but I can adjust my sails to always reach my destination.

Quote from Ne Life newsletter: Future You Not that I have already obtained this or am already perfect, but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me his own. Philippians 3:1 The person you are to become will learn from the things you do right now. The image you have of yourself in the future depends on the actions you see yourself taking today. A very important person is watching your every action, listening to your every word, and knows your every thought. That person is you. Imagine yourself a year from now, looking back on today. Imagine your future self being exceedingly thankful for the way you lived this day. Then step forward and live today with that in mind. Think, speak and act in such a way that the person you will become inherits many positive benefits from the person you are right now. Confidence, integrity, strength and effectiveness do not simply appear out of nowhere. They are built by the way you live your life. And now is your opportunity to live in a powerful, positive way that will benefit your life for a long time to come. Now is your chance to make your future self, thankful for the better paths you choose to take. Father in heaven, we are learning to make the changes we need to today, to become who we want to be in the future. Show us the areas we need to work on now, even if they are hard so we can grow into being more like You. We don’t want to get to next summer and see we haven’t changed. Help us now to make a change our future selves will be grateful for. In Jesus name, AMEN! If you don’t try to create the future you want, you must endure the future you get.

Howdy! Unfortunately your finger tack test does not represent what a good tackifier in a saw should be. Average RPM is 5K-9K. You fingers are 30-100RPM at best. Any oil that is super tacky at slow speed will gum up at high speed or shear to quick. At low speed oil should flow. Sticky is not tacky or good. Tack is adhesion within the oil and should be demonstrated at high speed. Between your fingers actually represents the opposite. If an oil cant flow at low speed, imagine how poorly it navigates every aspect of the bar/chain at high speed. Send us an email and we'll show you the data.

@@tazman-kennyfuller thank you. let us know what saw and oil testing you and the community want to see. We have over 2000 hrs of: cutting, tribo, thermal and metallurgy analysis. A good chain oil, like any other oil, needs to have 6-8 functions chemically formulated for the specific application to perform either ok-good-great. Our goal is to make the bar last as long as possible while being the safest.

@@ScottPorter-x8j Can you show a cost benefit to the saw community based on your current pricing using your product over the competition? Also I have yet to find a study that shows using conventional bar oils available on the market today are doing harm to the environment. Yet you imply that they are and yours is not. Proof of this would go a long ways in the justification of using your product over others.
