Amazes me you can look at a block of wood and see that sketch in it and just whip it out like that. That is talent.

Thks for your support 🙏 There is lots of mental and physical prep and planning before I start the ideas can be very spontaneous but not the physical work itself

Omg so incredibly amazing talent. Love the MAGA squirrel. Only a MAGA squirrel would have more than one nut. And such details having to carb is so astonishing. Love it!

Love it! The difference between an artist and a master craftsman is the level of detail. You’ve got a very steady hand. I wouldn’t have been able to carve the eyes, ears or toes without hacking something off. I will get to your level someday, just takes years of practice and experience. Another great carving Christopher!

Donnie has got to see this! He has a great sense of humor. MAGA squirrel is holding the nuts away from his body as if he MIGHT be saying "want to borrow these?". Great job Chris! Great humor! Great Patriot!

I have a question, how do you clean the oil from the chainsaw off the wood? Thank you for the video, it's really amazing! Videos like this really make me glad I am a wood carver😁. Only I use knives instead of a chainsaw😅. Again, awesome video!

I never have that much oil on the wood when making finish cuts I turn the volume of oil way down also if I am painting the pc I lightly singe the pc with a plumbers torch before paint process and that burns off splinters and any little bit of oil deposited...if its a natural pc does not really matter that much as what ever product I put over it later is petroleum based any way it all blends...but if it's still an issue and you gotta make sure no oil I would wash it down with lacquer thinner or turpentine or anything with a thin evaporative viscosity even gasolene..but has is more stinky and would only use gas if pc was staying outside etc for pine carvings its never that much of an issue for me as it's very absorbant..also my chains are very sharp and when you cut fast alot of that oil is in the chips,, saw dust falling off pc heat from the chain evaporates alot of it good qaulity winter weight oil is thinner also

Also...if your chain is to tight on the bar it gets to hot from the friction unlike cutting firewood your chain should run sloppy loose on the bar for very small bar tips This is a common beginner mistake running them tight will deposit black oil on the pc..as oil is getting to hot from bar tip and in summer if it's still getting super hot I will keep a bucket of ice near by and frequently quench the bar tip in that bucket to keep it cool as am working.. but thats a rare scenario and it's usually on super hot days if I am getting black oil...low qaulity oil is worse etc

Did you put water or oil on the chain when carving the squirrel hands? If so, what's the purpose of that? Great work, looks like you spared no effort in the creation to make it top notch! Thanks!

No that's chain saw bar oil spraying on wood as I cut it I keep bar oil setting on high to preserve the bars they last longer when you do that and lubricates cut better chain stays sharper longer and cut better
