Just picked up this game after your review, wasnt even aware of it before this, and played a really fum game with the wife. I cant wait to mix the powers and see how they change up the game. Thanks for solid recom!

Based on a previous discussion you had on this game I ordered it.have now played twice losing both times.really enjoyed the game.the game caned be taught in five minutes.looking forward to playing with three and then four.all your recommendations have right on.

Hi Dan - I was wondering if you've played Ethnos and how you find that 'card management' game in comparison to Capital Lux II? I feel the games are sufficiently different and both are great (I own neither).

I enjoyed Ethnos. I don't think it's in the same league as Capital Lux but it's still a good one

The original Capital Lux is in my top 5 games of all time. Great production and artwork. Fantastic game design. Simple and elegant with great decision space. Sometimes less is more and I feel that seems to be the case here. This one sacrifices that elegance and simplicity for more stuff which is kind of an overkill for me. Sure, you could just play the original with this one but there are some production issues (non standard size cards, black borders which I really dislike...). I feel that a reprint of the original would have been better.

Black borders a sin. Also this one looks flimsy as hell. Production quality honestly very low.
