She was not drunk nor intoxicated in any fashion. Everyone, every last person was called in to be there last minute. The emotion and tears we all were filled with. Chaka and Aretha were close, best friends for over 20 plus years of life. So can you imagine, being asked to sing for your sisters going home celebration...? I think not. Even Ron Isley was in tears whilst performing. Ask yourself, "Could I have the same strength to sing one last time for my dearest friend, sister, mother, aunty, cousin, mentor, etc.?"

Have been a fan of hers for over 40 years. But hate. how she sung this song.Being a artist means knowing.Just how far to push your talent and how limited and unlimited your voice is to sing certain songs especially ones you don't know the words to.And singing a classic gospel song at a famous person or anybodys home going is no place to be singing a song you don't know the words to.And don't know the deep emotional history of the song. This is a gospel song that most times when sung .Want have a dry eye at a furneral.
