I was at that show, and yes, she was drinking martinis before her performance, but even drunk, her voice is the most amazing live instument in the industy. No one can sing like Chaka Khan, and I mean, no one.

Say what you will, but there is one and only one Chaka Khan! Her vocal range defys gravity.

Chaka shimmy in tow! 😉 It's fantastic to see her produce the same notes live that she did on recording decades prior.
@funkymusic2k12 жыл бұрын
Her originally recorded versions were extremely well-produced and when they added Chaka on top of all of that it became incredible! Now you take that basis and re-orchestrate and it is even more fabulous! And the orchestra feels it and it comes through. Chaka is THE queen!

I knew Chaka would "...blo!w the squares right off the stage", but there were none. The orchestra, the principal musicians and the arrangement are KILLER. Chaka, I see what you did at 4:25, and I'm here for all of it. She always mesmerizes me with her ad libs during a closing vamp; best in the business.

Mind-bending vocal mastery. Otherworldly and soul-searing, this woman tho. A world treasure talent of historic proportions. Not even being dramatic. Nope not me.

Love everything but that silly dance in the beginning, it has nothing to do with the song at all. I figure shes trying to keep it relevant to times but it's relevant enough cuz the original sounds timeless and the orchestra is doing it justice and of course her voice and backup singers. Chaka never rehearsals and it hinders her performances some each n every time.
@destinykhan25699 жыл бұрын
