Currently reading her book Remnants of Separation, and I can't tell you how wonderful it is! Every single page makes me sigh, and tear up. Her writing style is excellent. Thank you Chalchitra, for bringing her onto the show!

Had no idea about who she is. Ended up loving the recommendations. Please bring more not- really -popular people to the show. Thank you.

You should read her book. Its one of the best books on partition. She takes on this topic from a very different perspective, talking about the partition stories through the objects that the families carried with them during the exodus.

Thankyou for this chalchitra talks an Vaani. Very detailed conversation. For anyone who wants to know more about things Anchal Malhotra cares, visit the brown history podcast called partition with Anchal Malhotra. It's very detailed and raw. And i also wonder if there is a raw recording of this interview available and you guys could share it because she's an extremely inspiring person who speaks from a lot ..alot of experience and warmth. Vaani was a great interviewer in the whole scene but i wish the editing was a little better. :)

Wonderful conversation. This is the first time I felt like opening my notes and jotting all the recommendations down since each one of them were intriguing and unheard of, for me, probably because so many of them were international artists. It's also beautiful what Aanchal Malhotra mentioned about old people - "All they really want is someone who can listen to them" shows the depth & beauty of her personality. Thank you for bringing her on the channel.

Remnants of a Separation is a great work of scholarship coming out of a contemporary Indian writer and that too from someone as young as Aanchal. Her writing styles and her reading experiences are both very informative. Excellent episode, Vaani.

Vaani had good set of questions for Aanchal ma'am. A satisfying interview conductor she is I must say. Aanchal ma'am's notes and annotations did intrigue me whenever she posted on her ig. Her annotation method and conversation method both taught things to me I wish I can implement at my own pace.

Loved the conversation. I so agree with you vani, I am a sucker for her clean desk pictures and journaling. Read the book and loved it. Also, someone who lives with grandparents I completely agree with her, that all they want is someone to listen to them.
