We present to you the simple recipes of Kiyomi Mikuni, the owner and chef of the Mikuni hotel, a French cuisine restaurant in the Yotsuya district of Tokyo.

【Ingredients】 for 2 people
2 rump steaks
2 onions
20g + 10g unsalted butter
2 tablespoons sunflower oil
Salt and pepper
Some watercress for garnish
Some French fries
【Preparation】
・ Season steaks with salt and pepper.
・ Grate one onion. Chop other onion.

【Procedure】
1. Marinate the steaks in the grated onion.
2. Meanwhile, heat 20g of butter in a skillet. Sauté the chopped onions until they turn golden brown, then remove and reserve.
3. In the same skillet, heat the oil, remove steaks from marinade and pan-fry them on both sides. Then arrange them a plate.
4. In the same pan, heat 10g of butter. Add the rest of the marinade and the chopped onion (2). Sauté onions again briefly. Season with salt and pepper. Drizzle over the steaks. Serve with watercress and fries.
