That was fucking ridiculous. How the hell does it only have 1.2k views?? And how on hell are you only at 45 subs? That was a spectacular rendition! Everything from the setup to the actual singing and playing was top notch. Derek, you've got a very powerful voice and I REALLY dig the color of your tone. You know, to be brutally honest, I didn't think I was going to enjoy this ... and yet, not only do I massively applaud this exceptional rendition of a brilliantly emotional song, I actually recoil at my own pre-judgement. This was absolutely triumphant, as a cover and as an original take. You managed to get so close to the original version, yet somehow, without making a blatant copy. It has your own personalities stamped all over it, whilst paying perfect homage, via your obvious love and respect for such an awesome song. Usually, I much prefer " covers " to " copies " and yet this seems to be a beautiful marriage of both ; ie : not straying too far from the original but maintaining a unique originality. An amazing accomplishment. You are both absolutely wonderful. Thank you.for, what is, a stunning tribute 🙏

It's a live performance buds, no overdubs or separated tracks really, we had a pennies budget and resources alright? So, not having the luxury and free time to really spice up the audio, we worked with what we had, which was 2 lav mics (pinned to our t shirts thru wireless) and 1 room condenser mic you can see set up off to the side, also Reid, our friend who shot us only had limited time to mix everything, like I said micro budget. Sorry it's not up to your standards but we tried the best we could :) Either way, thanks so much for watching and commenting :) Much from love from Vancouver BC 💚
