The chalk outline reference is when they draw a chalk outline around a dead body so he is saying they are a walking dead body with on all the drugs they are given

And the outline is all that's left when the body is gone.

@@Ph8rus He also says "walk around like a floating chalk outline", which is possibly the shape you took when you were alive but now you're walking around mindless like a zombie. In Psychology, if you are "in the gallows, on your toes, so you can breathe" then putting you on pills so you don't unalive yourself and can still go to work so you're not homeless but as the shell of your former self, then that is a very common occurrence and a common treatment plan.

Ren is far more of a genius than people realize at the surface level. He usually starts his performances with a shock, to make you uneasy. In this one it's the chair snap, in Hi Ren it's the operatic vocals and the uneasy guitar, in Screech's Tale it's the mouth trombone (excuse the term lol), in Jenny's Tale it's the rapid guitar at the start, in Violet's tale it's the guitar playing and the ghostly vocal sounds... he knows what he's doing. It's intended to put you on edge and make you unsure of what's coming, which grabs your attention and makes you want to stick around to either resolve that unease or find out what's going on. The guy is an artistic master in almost every respect.

When she sings don’t cry cause there’s a pill for everything, it’s just such a beautiful line, it takes all my self control not to burst into tears. I’m so glad she being heard thanks to REN.

The chair crack is a reference of Cheraphobia - The fear of happiness or an aversion to happiness. You know with Ren, that everything is there for a reason!

Can't remember the reaction channel, I think it's an Aussie or Kiwi guy, who's a music producer/artist, he gave the best explanation of Ren X Chinchilla duets... (paraphrasing)... "Normally when 2 or more people sing together, each individual singer makes certain concessions or adjustments, albeit slight at times, in order to stay in harmony with the other singer(s), to produce a pleasant duet or group overall sound. With Ren and Chinchilla it's as they're both singing solo, holding nothing back, making no concessions, while their voices weave in and out of each other and then back together like the Blue Angels fighter jets do when performing at an air show, and they do it with such ease and grace, I've never seen anything like it". Yup, pretty much summed it for me!! Great reaction ladies!! ✌💚

I can't believe I haven't seen that reaction as I watch as many Ren reactions as possible but it really is a perfect way to describe their duets.

Old metal dude?
@sunshynff19 күн бұрын
@@spruce381 No, I think I know who you're talking about, I wouldn't say this guy is old, at least not relative to my age, if you're a young lad he might be...lol. I'd say mid 30s, early 40s at the most. Red-ish brown beard, a tad heavy set, he stops a lot during songs, but they're usually not too long, and he gives good insight when he stops, then goes into more detail afterward, very knowledgeable about all things music. I'll see if I can find his channel, I should be subbed to it, and post it here if I do.

I had to take wellbutrin when I was pregnant with my 2nd son, ohmy god it was horrible. High risk pregnancy, taken off the med that did help and given wellbutrin....it was bad enough that my dr came next to my head after my urgent c/s to ask if I wanted my other meds back. Add hormones to depression and a medication that did nothing but make me cry all day, every day but safer for the baby..rough 32 weeks.
@Tokin42019 күн бұрын
@AngB517 sorry to hear that. I was an addict for 24 yrs til I od'd which left me disabled. I was put on zoloft among some other antidepressants which made me numb to everything. It was to the point that I considered relapsing just to feel something. I had to get off them. Today I manage my depression by smoking weed amd keeping myself busy. My Idle mind can go dark real quick. So keeping my days busy helps

The Big Push (REN in red suspenders) I shot the sheriff mash up, war pigs mash up… REN and Sam Tompkins Blind eye and Earn it/ mansworld/ I’m Falling! Amazing! REN was mis-diagnosed and finally after some years he has Lyme Disease! Recently, he was back in Vancouver for additional treatment! He’s a very brave and a genius musician who has experienced extremely dark years! I pray God heals and will hold his heart!🙏♥️🔥

This song references 60s drug songs - perfect day and white rabbit, but with modern legal drugs, and less hope. That’s just a tiny part of my take on a beautiful complex song. Don’t know your names ladies - I dig the reaction from Joni Mitchell in the middle - you’re all good ❤️👍🏽👍☘️

Meds that make you feel dead (chalk outline) especially if they are too strong or feel like a zombie in a way. I have Bipolar and the trial and error of getting the meds combo right was rough, because before I was diagnosed with it, I maxed every anti-depressant out.... because AD's make it easier to spin up into a mania so you stop taking them and you crash, that's where the lovely mood stabilizers come in (depakote, lithium etc) Some people say if the wrong or too much of an ADHD med is given it makes them zombie-ish too But since Ren does not have all he was diagnosed with at first, it allowed time for the Lyme Disease to do the damage to his brain, then dealing with a Mast Cell disorder, I know the name of it from a fellow mom who's daughter has it, but it's been a bit since I've heard it all said outloud.

Chalk Outlines is a great metaphor for both traditional crime scenes and the fact that most medications are 99% chalk. When you swallow a pill it's mostly just chalk, with the medication being an additive. Chalk is inert, it's nothing, it just dissolves in the body. So Chalk Outlines means both a crime scene from a 1950s movie and the fact that you're swallowing pills that are mostly chalk, and then walking around like you can't feel anything - which is what a lot of antidepressants do.

To me it refers to the fact that pills, particularly sertraline or others used to treat depression, anxiety or mental ilnness, take away all feelings, good or bad, so you're just an empty shell or outline of yourself, hence chalk outline. The push it down with a new habit is doing something to distract yourself from the emptiness and hiding behind a false smile, just for a while, but knowing it is really just a front.
