I’m noticing podcasts with football guys talking football are wayyyyy better than a reporter/interviewer or fan talking football

I just found this channel. Nice job and content. I would make 1 suggestion, either explain the more in depth lingo or have a link for us to look it up. I have never heard the term 2 eyes 👀 or 4 eyes 👀. On the NFL network radio is Jim and Pat, moving the chains. They do an incredible job explaining the lingo over the years and have a very football educated listeners. Then they circle back to bring new listeners up to speed. Keep up the great work.

He's being asked to play nose when that's not his game. As a natural 3T he's much better than mid.

Beau is talking way too loudly into the mic. I dunno if his mic is turned up too high, or if he's just super excited and using his outside voice while he's inside. It's super annoying when he's starts talking while everyone else is talking because all you hear is Beau.

Harrison Phillips is a guy you want to root for, but he's too small for DT and consistently gets blown off the line by bigger IOL. Vikings can't stop anything up the middle. Vikings interior is trash on both sides. 5 wins at best because of this.

he actually can play DT it’s that he’s not made to be a 0 tech he’s made to be a 3-5 kick him out sometimes we just need a real nose tackle if we get a real big 0 tech nose tackle phillips stats would sky rocket as he’d be in his natural spot instead of being tired and injured outta place still a baller nonetheless

Aaron Donald played around 280, and Harry plays around 305. Are you gonna tell me Donald was too small? Or are you talking about specific alignments? Could you tell me what alignments he's best fit for?
@airwess33694 ай бұрын
@theninjaofmusic you're coming at me like you think you know something when you actually know nothing. Since when does weight equal strength? With your logic just get all the linemen from the 600lb life TV show. Donald is a rare freak of nature who is far faster, stronger and more talented than Phillips. Donald's main job was to get pressure on the QB and hence would line up in situations that looked like passing situations and line himself up to stop the run. Minnesota switched to a 3-4 defense and that only works when you have the very best very large very strong very fast defensive lineman to run such a defense. Minnesota currently has none of those players starting that fit that bill. Fact is, watch the tape and watch Phillips get blown off the line play after play after play. Every once in a while he slips a block and gets into position. He's a solid backup in a 4-3 defense with great linebacker behind him. But as a starting NT on 3-4 without stars around him he's a liability and other teams know it and they will pound the rock up the middle and when the defense crashes to help it's bombs over the top.
@jabbadabba19784 ай бұрын
Harrison Phillips is the Garrett Bradbury of defensive linemen. He’s not a nose tackle AT ALL but he plays one on tv. Vikings have been the worst defensive line in the history of the nfl since 2018. Absolutely terrrrrible.

@@DerrickRG in 2023 the Vikings gave up 1700 yards and 14 touchdowns on the ground. That’s their best season since 2017. In 2022 Harrison Phillips and the Minnesota Vikings defense allowed 2093 yards and 18 touchdowns. These are facts. And objectively terrible stats. Get. Fuuuuuuuuuuuuucked though.
