Which one is it as I keep getting bands snapping in mesh of the net

If you are using bands, you want to be using a micro mesh or hair mesh net. Which will prevent the band coming through otherwise they can snap in any larger mesh net.

Will the smaller size in the shake dry nets not be suitable then as andy is using

It can happen with any larger mesh net, the only way to eradicate it completely is a micro mesh net. Obviously some people (like Andy) use the larger mesh nets without issue, just a personal thing really.
