If you give the engine a game between Magnus and Fabi, but tell the engine it’s between two 400s, the engine will say “very good game, played like 1100s”. It’s relative to rating, not an absolute estimate.

Second game is like two countries or lovers getting closer and closer to each other over time, trusting they wouldn't harm you, with the possibility of ever so profound damage to be done. Be careful who you let this close. Even if they never harm you but one of you depart this life earlier than the other, would the damage be on same levels, but in grief?

Awesome challenge idea, but the second game clearly didn't count. Your opponent was throwing from the very start. I think it's assumed that your opponent should be unaware of the challenge and trying to win for it to be valid.

@sebastien5048
@sebastien5048 10 күн бұрын
It's probably not that uncommon. Your opponent plays pretty well for the whole game (no blunders, no missed wins, nothing like that) and you blunder quite a lot. On the very last move of the game, your opponent blunders a backrank checkmate in one and so you win. You'd have a super low accuracy, his wouldn't be too bad (he just blundered once) and yet...
@P.sherman45
@P.sherman45 9 күн бұрын
@@sebastien5048 yes, but if I blunder and my opponent don't punish me with good moves, it lowers their accuracy, too. I'm just curious because since I thought about it, it has never happened to me. when i win i have more accuracy and when i lose i have less accuracy.
@sebastien5048
@sebastien5048 9 күн бұрын
@ what i'm saying is that you can easily imagine a game where you blunder a lot and your opponent does punish you every time you blunder. So their accuracy is very high. At some point they just make ONE blunder, but it causes them to lose immediately by mate in one.

Clearly a paid actor in the second game. Didn't even watch it once he started shuffling the rook and allowing mate in 1. I guess every move that wasn't mate by a queen added to worse and worse accuracy. Now make that happen without paid actors

it’s not - I imagine given how wild the position was (and how unlikely it is to be reached naturally) that the move triggered the conditions for a brilliant in a nonsensical edge case way (i.e. white sacrificed material, white can win the queen by force on the next move, evaluation for white is > +3 , etc)
