I totally agree with this video, I also installed these gears after your video in my 2010 challenger 5.7 auto. There is so much misinformation out there about the gear being to low. These cars our heavy , need plenty of help getting out of the hole. But I’m still stuck in 13 land (13.047) . FYI anybody doing this remember tire height plays a part in final gear ratio. Good honest information on this channel! Keep it up! Hopefully in the fall we can meet up and do some Racing!

I found the biggest gas mileage difference in new rear gears is just trying it a little harder like any modification you want to go to a little deeper in the throttle just to feel the difference.

Certain 2019 R/T plus models had the 3.90 option which mine has

Gears are hands down the best bang for buck in muscle cars Everyone trying to do a Cam/Heads or boost should look into gears FIRST

So far i have not needed a tune. Also ill be honest adding these gears makes the car feel totally different (NOT IN A BAD WAY) but it would still be 100% a good daily driver!

Did you use the same stock axels from the stock 2.62 gears ? All you did was swap the diff ? No tune ? No nothing ? Just installed?

My stock gears were 3.07, but yes the only thing i did was swap the diff, no tune, no axels.

I do believe with 6spd you could get 3.73 or 3.92.

@@ericmoralezz i believe you need at least a Diablo intune3 or comparable. To calibrate. Not positive. But the combination of gears and the intune 3 canned tuned 93 octane, car became ALIVE! I gained 5tenths in quarter mile.I run a 20 inch tire so my final gear ratio was around 3.73. Tire height plays a role in final gear ratio. If I had a 19 inch rim I would be 3.92 final gear ratio.

These cars don’t need it, they do the speed off of the abs speed sensors not the diff

bolt and go. I have not done any tuning sense putting in the posi unit. The spedo runs off a different system i believe

2 quarts lubricant? I bought mine from summit and asked them how much lubricant they said 2 pints (1 quart). Now I’m worried haha

Dont be worried, I bought 2 quarts but mine actually shipped with the fluid in the rear end so i didnt need any of it LOL.
