Give Babineaux some RB equipment 😭He still looks like a QB - great win though! This is exactly the team I imagined us being going into the year with how strong both lines of scrimmage are - pound the rock, let the defensive line eat, and pass if needed or to change it up. Above all else on offense, keep with the short passing game - it keeps things ahead of the chains and allows us to continue running the ball. Recruiting a QB (or two) is a good idea regardless of the Ogbonna situation with our king Pacheco graduating after this year - don't want to roll into next season with only 2 QBs (potentially 1 if Ogbonna transfers), obviously. SUPER excited to see how this team continues to develop!

Agree that can’t pass just for Ogbonna’s play style issue. Have to win. But could bring in Elway in games wrapped up and let him air it out some. Glad you said you would recruit a QB in case. Van move Babineaux back to QB next season if the worst case scenario happens.

Good showing by the defense. Ogbonna isn't ready and could hold the team back, also talking a big game for a guy who can't hit a pass longer than 10 yards.
@WaywardUsurper21 сағат бұрын
Ogbonna just doesnt fit this offense imo. He cant throw it deep, his accuracy is very inconsistent when it comes to short and mid range throws. I think Elway might be a better option if you start to struggle with Ogbonna or if you just wanna get ready to use Elway before Ogbonna transfers. Your pass defense is very good btw.
@GreatOnes4L19 сағат бұрын
Not at all, the WRs failed Ogbonna this game! All those picks were from LACK of EFFORT on the WRs part. He was well over 68% completion at one point. I’d say that deep underthrow was his only “bad” ball. Hes a good QB, Cane is making him look bad + the WRs
@WaywardUsurper19 сағат бұрын
@@GreatOnes4L nah. cane throwing to covered guys is a problem when you have an inconsistent guy like Ogbonna, especially when you look back at those picks the dump off pass is open. I think Ogbonna should be more of rusher/scrambler. The type of QB he is just doesnt fit with what cane wants to do with the offense. As for the drops, each of them were tightly contested except (not sure why cane only looks upfield when passing) the one from McNabb which was severely underthrown where McNabb had to attempt a tiptoe sideline catch in the rain.
@GreatOnes4L19 сағат бұрын
@ no sir, those pics aren’t of any inconsistencies. Cane played bad & the WRs don’t compete at the point of attack period. It was wide WRs too that cane missed. IF this was coach mode then yea fine but it isn’t and cane is making Ogbonna look bad. Foh, “tip toe sideline catch in the rain” he’s a collage WR… catch the ball. Why aren’t yall saying get new WRs??
@daqueda157719 сағат бұрын
Ironically playing Ogbonna before he is ready may end up holding back the passing offense so much that Ogbonna decides to transfer. Elway could throw for a lot more yards, meeting Ogbonna's deal breaker and giving Ogbonna time to become a better player.
@GreatOnes4L19 сағат бұрын
@ elway isn’t better, cane is just playing bad. Hell I think cane is playing bad with Ogbonna for the “plot”. I could tell from the first game he changed his whole style from how it was last year, it’s like he’s timid & it shows. Now everyone blames Ogbonna for canes mistakes. Shit lame af

Cane, It looks like the passing game is not good with Ogbona at the helm. I say you need to go with Elway or Pacheco since he has better short and medium passing stats, and he runs better. I think you will see a better outcome with either Elway or Pacheco. Ogbonna already has 5 or 6 turnovers and he is holding the team back in my opinion.
@WallsTalks20 сағат бұрын
I thought Elway should've been the guy based on practice and was surprised he didn't get the starting job, and now I think he at least deserves a look and not just permanently relegated to clipboard duty for his whole career.
@sullyproductions575713 сағат бұрын
It’s gonna take a lot for Elway to play. Cane has a very fierce loyalty borderline stubbornness with players that he likes, where if he likes you or has a certain idea of how you should play he’s gonna keep playing that player until he absolutely can’t anymore( see Kevin Cajuste and Austin Harris still playing WR). I wouldn’t expect to see Elway unless DO starts playing horrible or gets hurt

Another solid performance. The next game will be the first true test of this new look Bulls. It ain't gonna be easy going into Ann Arbor against the Wolverine's. However, just based on how these first two games have gone, the defense has been the brightest spot, the run game is solid, yet, it's taken a while to get going. Good luck Cane, the next game and then once we get into this season's MACtion will be the truest test of what this team is actually made of and capable of. Also, little fun fact, in both games to start the year, David Ogbonna has went 15 of 22, same exact pass attempts and catches made to start the season. What are the odds of that?

You could work in some jet sweeps they count towards passing yards for the QB if you have a speedy receiver for the slot(depending what package you run the sweep out of) may not get the 200+ a game from it but will help towards it.
@lukascastor341419 сағат бұрын
Good move on starting to prioritize QB recruitment. This is still a run-first team, and it's better to have a contingency plan for Ogbonna leaving than it is to force this team to play a bombs-away downfield offense without the necessary personnel to do so. I do feel a little bit bad for Enrique Trejo, though-- hopefully he gets fed enough this season to crack 1,000 yards and maybe make himself a draft pick. On paper, Michigan looks like a team that should dismantle Buffalo, but Dexter Frewyn doesn't look like a very good QB. If you can get out to an early lead or stuff the run such that they abandon their ground game, you might be able to take advantage of their weakness there. There could be a series-defining upset cooking this week.

I think that you should move to the ACC not the Big Ten, Big Ten already has 18 teams and the ACC only has 17 so If you moved there you could make it an even 18. Also it would be very hard to compete with the top programs in the Big Ten but the ACC is more wide open and you could easily compete for confrence championships.
