Playing in week 0 does not go towards your record for getting moved up in the polls, it’s pointless to play week 0 games

I hope you realize that ogbonna could still be a risk to transfer if u can't pass the ball well enough.

2 Rec, 6 Yds, 1 TD by a TE = Player of the Week over a top tier RB performance.... this is what happens when we let Arthur Smith pick.

the red wolves were the team i did my first dynasty with on this game. they have a waterfall in their stadium, it’s rather neat.

Will be interesting to see what happens when you play a team with a better offensive line. On offense, it's a totally different dynamic using 15 plays to score with basically no home run shots. Gonna be a fun season to watch.

Pass rush was killer but a lot of mistakes on offense. Gotta clean it up

Maier looked good! But he will definitely need more rotation. Especially, with the wear and tear. McNabb could even take some receiving snaps out of the backfield

Just looked it up, and this 13-sack performance would be the second most team sacks in a single game, in FBS history 😮

You definitely need to recruit a QB as Ogbonna is going to transfer after this season as his Dealbreaker looks like it will not be met by a lot.

I think this has all the makings to be a down year compared to last season. After one game, not sure if the QB play is where it needs to be, but the supporting cast and defense may be good enough. Lots of turnover at the top
@tobyrorrer345416 сағат бұрын
That 1960s offense is ok vs a bad team but when the competition gets better you're going to have to pass the ball. Like it or not that's just facts

Where are the bubble screens or is this a pro style offense
@kevinpena545717 сағат бұрын
Solid, if unspectacular debut. Watch that you don't get so conservative that Ogbanna bails after the year, though!
@lastpenny84917 сағат бұрын
This isn't going to work. Yes Ogbonna was fine, but if you don't pass the ball he will transfer at the end of the year, and you won't have a QB starter at all. Not thought this through. The Defense was good.
@ParisStephan33017 сағат бұрын
there definitely needs to be a storyline about David Ogbonna being CJ Ogbonna's little brother or nephew or cousin or something lol how has that not been brought up yet 😅😅

Cane, At 26:35, you stated, "It [the passing offense] was really simple, really sticking to what I talked about in the off-season... and today it really did come true." What you talked about, for the umpteenth time, was using a quick, high percentage, short passing game. The very first pass attempt had the QB holding the ball for five plus seconds before attempting a pass ten yards downfield, while on the run. Not what I would call a "quick, high percentage" pass attempt. The second pass attempt was two plays later on a third and five scenario where none of the pass routes were less than ten yards and the actual pass thrown was twelve yards downfield into double coverage. Once again, not the "quick, high percentage, short" passing game you had once more promised us. If you need five yards, why are running routes that might come open at more than twice the distance you need? Cane, you are a creature of habit - this makes you human. Your habits are to try to throw passes which, upon completion, will place the ball more than ten yards downfield, your preference is even more than ten yards. You think it's normal to throw the ball nearly forty yards downfield, regardless of the abilities of your players. You need to cull and replace some of the plays in your Buffalo playbook to create something which will fit the capabilities of your players. I suggest plays with two or more routes that are quick, short, and easily completed for each passing play. When you have a choice of receivers, throw to the one with fewer defenders within close range of him so he can add on yards after the catch and be less likely to drop the pass because he has a linebacker plowing into him as he tries to catch the ball. With Buffalo's O-line and a "quick, high percentage" passing game, one can only determine that every time the Buffalo QB suffers a sack it is squarely on the operator of the Offense - not the failures of the digital personnel. Quick, high percentage passes are not thrown after holding the ball for five seconds. Quick, high percentage passes are not thrown twelve yards downfield into double coverage when all you need are five yards for the first down. Quick, high percentage pass plays do not result in any sacks when you have a decent O-line, like Buffalo, and your Offense rating is seven points higher than your opponents' Defense rating. I believe Adrian Peterson's history with the Vikings must have occurred during an exceptionally impressionable period of your life because you always seem to be chasing the dream of finding an Adrian Peterson of your very own, despite the fact that he only averaged twenty receptions per year. In Peterson's fifteen year career, he caught six touchdown passes. Roger Craig managed to catch that many TD's in a single season. Which player do you think is more suitable for the current football environment? - sj

Elway's deep throwing ability will be needed soon. The question is, will Cane actually admit it or be stubborn and leave Ogbonna in when he's down by 6 with a minute left?
