As you know, for you the priesthood is done away with, rather now everybody is of the priestly creed Ex. 29:9 - "A belt on the waist and a cap on the head are the signs of priesthood." The head-dress of the bishop and priest show their authority. In the Old Testament, it is found High-priests and priests wearing the head-dress to show the glory of God. Monks wear their special head-dress as a sign of their submission to the discipline of their community. St. Paul speaks about the helmet of salvation, and the crown of righteousness. The Bishops are not covering their head, but the head-dress is a crown that symbolizes these attributes. Those who disagree may do as they like. But then you see many pastors in white attire with long sleeves, the moustache is out. Only Pentecostals practice 'anya-bhasha'. That too, in the loudest voice. One can ask why, why, why, but we know they have their justifications. So on and so forth....! Having said that, we are all Christians not for the issues that divide us, but for the truth that unites us. Pentecostals in witnessing their faith claim they're from Orthodox or Jacobite or Catholic families....!

@@kurienvarghese5599 Read the book of acts. Chapter 2. They spoke in tongues and the people in Jerusalem heard them. How can those people hear the 120 believers if they weren't loud? Also when Jesus came, He gave us a new convenent, the old was done with. But does this mean the old testament is irrelevant? No. There were ritualistic laws and commandment laws. The commandment laws, like Thou shall not kill, bear false witness etc. , still remain relevant. All these ritualistc stuff isn't relevant for God's church. He did not leave his old denomination because the priests covered their heads, but his doubts started since then. If your son came up to you and asked you doubts about the Bible that questions things happening in churches, would you scold him and beat him? Would you throw him out of the house? It's because of his persecutions, he left and followed a denomination that obeyed the word of God as it is, giving no importance to traditions. A lot of things happening in Christian churches nowadays are shadows of pagan worship. This is because when people who were pagans once, came to Christianity, they did not fully remove their old ways. Instead they dubbed the old Gods into Christian saints and martyrs and worshipped them and prayed to them. This is foolish and is a satanic deception. Many have fallen into it. Only those with their eyes open can see into the truth of God.
