Because India also grabbed strategic areas of baltistan in 1971. 4 villages - Tyakshi, Turtuk ( videos are in KZbin) and 2 more were taken which made it easier for India to grab Siachen.

I visited Manawar in 1971 during summer vacations and stayed there with my sister for a few days. Her brother-in-law (Jeth) served as Peon in Government Higher Secondary School Chhamb. He retired in 1996 from Higher Secondary school Vijaypur. I also met Sh. Satgur Parkash Bali of village Manawar several times. He retited as Principal in 1979 at the age of 55 years. Presently, he resides at Amar Colony Talab Tillo Jammu.
