What course have you played and you just fell apart?

Seeking Birdies Golf - Chambers Bay... the first time I played it! Absolutely chewed me up and spit me out. Loved every second, though!

@@ronnielee3 Funny how golf can frustrate you and make you fall more in love at the same time. Sounds like an unhealthy relationship! haha

I'm starting to get back into golf. I played a little when I was a younger teenager, now heading into Fall a HS senior. I've been playing just north of Chambers Bay at Highlands Golf Course- par 3 public nine, but it's a great starting challenge for me and my friends to work on. My goal personally is to work at golfing this Summer and into next year, when I can be somewhat comfortable tackling on Chambers Bay in Summer 2021, regardless of how I do.

3:10 would've liked to see you attempt that putt. I'm not convinced it was a gimme

The way I played that day, I'm not sure it was a gimme either! haha

Play this on WGT and recognise every hole. Looks very familiar. Shot a 68 this morning on Tournament Speed greens (12). Best here is 65... par 71. 1st is par 4.

Going to Play here in a month, dad lives in Lynnwood and online classes due to Covid are allowing me to spend a whole month up there. Also heard there are great courses in Cle Elum and Walla Walla, can’t wait. Great video! Keep it up.

54imawesome that’s awesome! Chambers is definitely a course that makes you appreciate the game. A lot of fun and beautiful views, it’s walking only so be prepared. Suncadia over in Cle Elum has some great courses, a lot of elevation change. Enjoy your visit! Thanks for the support

Seeking Birdies Golf thank you!! Do you happen to know how the green change from Fescue to Poa Changed the course? Am a 1.7 Handicap but will not lie, I am intimidated by this place.
@SeekingBirdiesGolf4 жыл бұрын
I did not get to play the course prior to the change, so I don’t have insight on a comparison. At a 1.7, you will enjoy the challenge of the course.

Great video! Chambers is magnificently frustrating - but I’ve heard it gets better every time you play. At that rate, I’ll need another few trips around to get sub-90 🤪
@SeekingBirdiesGolf4 жыл бұрын
Haha, I'm looking at ALOT more loops to get under 90...

Hello Andrew I will be visiting at the end of May and would really enjoy a seasoned veteran to play with at Chambers Bay. I will be by myself. Please get in touch with me if you are interested via email rdkilgore61@yahoo.com Thanks Andrew.

The 12th is easily drivable but a very contoured multi level green. Bet some didn’t need driver to reach, even an iron for big hitters.
@Balbonisboys4 жыл бұрын
I would highly recommend having a caddie the first time you play the course due to how hard the course really is Then again I’m not sure if caddies are for service right now with covid

Definitely great advice! Will definitely look into it next time I'm down there.

Question for dude making this vid...what are your overall thoughts on Chambers Bay as a golf track?
@SeekingBirdiesGolf4 жыл бұрын
I like it. It is a unique course for the PNW compared to the other courses; providing variety. Some holes are very straight forward, while others are long and challenging. Its not a course I would play every week, but a few times a year is great!

How are you liking the Jones bag? I want to get one myself
@SeekingBirdiesGolf4 жыл бұрын
LOVING it. In Washington, with the new rules for golf; walking the courses is way more comfortable. I would definitely buy it again knowing what I know now!
@rickshane62104 жыл бұрын
looking at Jones bag as well, how does it perform on a cart? Any special cart pass thru system that enable free access to pockets?
@toddroshong4 жыл бұрын
Rick Shane I got a utility trooper and it’s great to carry, lightweight and comfortable straps. I have used it on a cart too: it has pieces of fabric at the top that the strap slots through so your bag stays nice and tight, doesn’t wobble around while you ride. As long as you set it in the right spot so you can get to the pockets you want to, then you’ll be set

The classic is the best public course in this area in my opinion lake spanaway is the easiest I think I can reach all the par 5's in 2 lol

Wow! Those greens looked tough. Should be interesting to see how my putts look when I get back out there (gotta wrap up my honey-do list first).
@SeekingBirdiesGolf4 жыл бұрын
They were tough. They rolled consistently but with the large greens, if you didn’t get your approach close, you had some work left to do.
@Dude00004 жыл бұрын
Get a routine, dude. You seam to just go up to it and hit it. You need to get a routine, like 2 two practice swings with a swing thought, like concentration on the take Bach angle, then address the ball the same way EVERYTIME, lining it up to your target (not always the pin) and get comfortable over the ball and swing smoothly yet firmly. Ps that’s $25 thanks.
@jaydee54474 жыл бұрын
You’ve got too good a swing to not break 100...stick with it. The talent in the swing shows...just need to refine it which will come with time
@SeekingBirdiesGolf4 жыл бұрын
Hey! Thanks Jay! Yeah, I think I was a little out of sorts playing Chambers, between the camera and the beauty of the course, I was a little distracted. I’m hoping to get back down there soon for a rematch! Thanks for the support!

#1 has never been a par 5 bro wtf are you talking about
@SeekingBirdiesGolf9 ай бұрын
They actually changed it sometime after I made this video. Google “Chambers Bay hole #1 par change” and you will see! See the article from Golf.com from 2021 golf.com/travel/courses/chambers-bay-controversial-us-open-host/?amp=1 No. 1 plays down toward the water, yielding an early scoring opportunity (unlike the pros, civilians play it as a par-5). Thanks for the comments! Just commenting on my video 2 times recommends my video way more than you know on the algorithm. Every interaction, thumbs up or down, comments help promote the video! So thank you for caring so much about my video!

Instantly not recommending this channel. You aren’t even telling truth about what holes par really is.

I can't believe you called this "in the seattle area". As a mossy mountain boy from the backwoods of Graham, and making my living out of Tacoma, don't ever compare us to those soy boys lol. Love the video though, I've only had the pleasure of playing this difficult course once. The $250 course fee is a bit steep for me.
