I walked tour de montblank once, that was not so nice, very busy worn out paths, very tough going. you made a much smarter holly day! wow what sights! nice quiet paths. And you (George? ) are a lucky man with that woman tough as nails!

Great video and great advise. I will be in chamonix this August with my wife and 2 children. Just a question regarding Lac Blanc, how long did it take you exactly to reach lac blanc from the valley bottom. I want the views obviously but i also want to look after the little ones legs hes only 5 but a keen walker never the less. Been to Zermatt and grindelwald in switzerland but not chamonix so new surroundings and keen for advise. Thanks :-)

Hi Jason, from Argentiere it took about 4 hours to Lac Blanc with filming and looking at the views and then took the Flegere cable car to Chamonix. You could take the cable car to Flegere then it should only be an hour depending on how fast you are. The best walk in the Valley is The Junction as seen in our 2012 film. kzbin.info/www/bejne/aZvTfKqVr6ygfa8 If you take the cable car from the Bossons, that walk will take about 4 hours max. Thanks for the reply, looked at the link and it looks fantastic, our cup of tea so to speak. Great film. My wife wants to do a Vlog type film giving information on Alp's travel with little ones. There is not that much regarding that on youtube and i think it would be great to be able to put that information across. We are away for a month in the summer starting in Gorge du Verdon kayaking for 1 week then into chamonix for 8 days and finishing up in Lauterbrunnen Switzerland for the remainder. All in a canvas tent hahaha! Hope we have ticked all the boxes with the planning .fingers crossed. Again Thanks very much for replying. I will let you know how it all goes :-)
