These antique aircraft are amazing.

Brings back happy memories. Spins should be required for all pilots.

Two things that go together in a 7AC very nicely - a super steep (climbwise) wingover with a vertical bank at the top, into a one turn spin at that moment starting the way down. It's a very gentle spin turn, no g-forces, owing to no speed. A friend observed it and called it a champshivak, but it's very gentle from inside the airplane.

This comment is not a put down...rather a question. I notice that all of these videos have totally unrelated music that gets louder and louder as things progress. Why not let us have the sounds of the plane, the wind and the sonic experience of being there. For me, the music gets in the way seriously. Thanks.

Thanks! And yes, there was a CFI in the backseat! Thanks for the comment about the chutes, I just don't entice idiotic comments.

I love wingovers, everyone does. Safest maneuver God ever invented. One gee all-round and no damage, even past 90 degrees. Ben Franklin said "God gave us beer 'cause He wants us to be happy!" He gave us wingovers for the same reason. (please don't mix beer and wingovers however). Also, delete this video ASAP as the FAA farts could ground your aircraft due to excessive bank angle . The spins are OK legally if you were wearing a chute. They"all get you for the wingovers. Cheers!

You know the FAA considers any intentional bank over 60 degrees aerobatics, right? Lucky for you, you seemed to hit a bit turbulence there.

+PDZ1122 the Identification of bank angels is for the purposes of wearing a parachute during aerobatic flight. I would say this looked like a flight by a flight instructor. FAR 91.307(d) states that the part of the regulations requiring the occupants to wear an approved parachute does not apply to flight tests for pilot certification or ratings, and it does not apply to spins and other flight maneuvers required by the regulations for any certificate or rating when given by a certified flight instructor. lazy 8s chendelles spin training (awareness) are all part of flight training. Just saying....

@@williamschuller3088 and I'm just saying, the FAA would still say spins are fine, wingovers are aerobatics.
