Rory and Logan balanced each other out so well. She helped him to grow up and be independent and Logan was always there for her, but at the same time understood when she needed her space. He always fought for her and at the end of the day they always made the decision that would be best for the other. I feel like a lot of people don't like Logan because they blame him for Rory's character development going in the garbage but (in my opinion), I feel like she was already taking a wrong turn before she even met him.

i agree with saying that rory’s downfall started before she met logan (to me it’s when she slept with dean), but logan never knew rory before she started her descent so never knew how far out of line she was, whereas every time jess showed up he gave her guidance and steered her in the right direction another thing is logan’s presence did definitely make rory’s character worse, every reckless thing she did he approved or at least tolerated, (stealing the boat, letting her drop out, etc) because once again, he never knew to expect better and it exposed her more to the world of entitlement and action without consequences i understand why people like him, but i feel like if you think he’s the one for rory then you’re giving up on rory ever changing

She needs to take more leaps of faith, be more spontaneous do things she doesn't know where it ends or the details already. That is why in the revival they are both in bad straights, Logan never left his fathers business and she is still stubbornly trying to be a journalist when she doesn't actually enjoy it or truly want to. She can't admit it to herself, bc to her following her feelings is reckless, wrong, and so the only time she ever actually acts on them is in regret for what she missed for being so narrow minded in the moment hence why she becomes the other woman with dean.

Idk, I’d argue that proposing/getting married before (both of) you experience at least a full year of life outside of university/living at home/etc is a selfish and childish move, like, idk I’m a big Rory/Logan shipper, and I’m the same age Rory was when she made that decision, and honestly? I disagree, Jess became the man she deserved and waited for. Jess was the reason that she went back to Yale and encouraged her to write a book about her and her mom. I believe she was a cheater way before Logan, a serial one at that but she would justify it. She cheated on Dean with Jess. She slept with Dean though he was married and claim it was his first. He kissed Jess while she was with Logan as a comeback. Then again went back to Logan when he is engage. She cheat on Paul with Logan and even had one night stand while at it. I wouldn’t say Jess was a good boyfriend, but it seems to me she just loved him more, hence it was easy for her to listen to him when he speak. It just unfortunate that she was childish when Jess come back to tell her that he loves her not to forgive him. Her heart was not really with Dean and Logan but always with Jess. Which makes sense why she missed her mother’s important day of graduation to be with him. The one thing she never did with Logan or Dean. For me Rory’s real and first love was Jess. While Logan real and first love was Rory. Logan and Rory had a beautiful thing going on and the reality is that Logan loved Rory more. I also would have wished that they ended up together forever, but then again the hesitation on Rory’s side is driving to other direction.

I just watched that last episode where she rejects his proposal yesterday. Somehow I was more upset then than I ever have when watching the show. I sobbed hard an uncontrollably, was sad all night - even now, and even had dreams about them. Honestly they’re probably my favorite TV couple ever written. I love Rory but UGHHH! How could she do that to Logan?? He was the love of her life and, honestly, the only person who truly respected her decisions. Everyone was pissed at Logan because Jess was the one that got Rory back to Yale. However, in my view, 1) Rory was already thinking about going back and 2) Logan respected her choice - he didn't like that she dropped out of school, but it wasn't his place to judge. Logan was always encouraging her to dream big, fly high and achieve her goals (and he would factor her in). Other than that, Dean and Jess were constantly letting her down when it came to romantic gestures, attending Chilton events and the Gilmore parties - things that were extremely important to Rory (even though she didn't like to admit, because she thought that, in doing so, she would be hurting Lorelai's feelings). Logan, on the other hand, was the master of romantic gestures, he surprised her with the coffee cart, the trips to Europe, his visits to the apartment, flowers and a super lovely rockettttt. The fact that he was born into that rich life meant that he was used to parties and events that Rory had to attend (meaning that he knew how to behave and dress - hell he dressed up really nice LOL)! He also gets extra points for having a good relationship with Emily and Richard (something that was crucial to Rory and that Dean and Jess didn't even bothered to have). OH, and we can't forget the endless support that Logan gave to Rory and her family while Richard was in the hospital. To conclude my thought, I'd like to point out that one time in Valentine's weekend when Rory told Lorelai that "these could be THE ONES" (referring to Luke and LOGAN). Anyway, I truly believe that Rory and Logan should've ended up together and that they still will once the baby is born (since Logan is the father). PS: If you know any bit of Logan, you also know that the minute Rory says she loves him back, he would end things with Odette. Ok, I'm done. I needed to write this (even though I know that nobody will read it LOL).

i need to rant about this. i will FOREVER be mad at the writers for not having logan and rory get married. i think rory was supposed to live richard's/emily's life and not her mom's bc rory went to yale and didn't get pregnant. the plot of the show would've been sm better if she took her mom's life as an example of what not to do and her grandparents life of what to do bc they were in love. and instead of going to her mom for advice on the proposal she should've went to emily bc loreali doesn't have any experience in marriage. thank you.

I wanted her to have her OWN life, which is why I was so satisfied with the finale. She said no because she wasn't ready and left Stars Hallow to go pursue her dream career. The reboot completely ruined that, of course, because they're for some reason obsessed with creating Lorelai/Rory parallels.

I agree with the Lorelai marriage part, she married Christopher on a whim and divorced him less than 20 episodes later, she said yes to Max and then left for a trip when she realized she didn’t like the idea of marrying him, she proposed to Luke, then said that they should postpone because of April, then proceeds to give him an ultimatum, and when they get back together, they wait a full decade

this is the reason i left the series in mid, because i LOVEEE this series and seeing that the show doesnt have a happy ending just hurts too much, jess and rory were amazing but rory ditched again like she d9id with dean, and with logan i really thought this is just perfect, i hope they end up together and now she just got away from logan too she always does this!!!!! logan treated her so perfectly, he had respect for her he cared for her they were just love. "HE LOVED HER TOO FAST AND SHE LOVED HIM TOO LATE"
