I go through the start up and storage of this chipper as well as show a little demonstration. ( I fixed the low volume issue with this edit )

That champion wood chipper sounds awesome and it’s hungry when it’s eating tree branches sounds awesome 😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎

Just got this chipper, I haven’t even fired it up yet, now I know what it can and can’t do. Thanks for the video! 👊🏾

Good job on the video. It’s the best demonstration I’ve found so far.

Thanks very much! I was on the fence between this and the bigger one. Looks like this will meet my needs.

Ouch, I made a pusher out of an old branch that fit over the hole but can't go down it completely. It's been chewed on but not enough to still be effective. I store it with the chipper & I'm sure I'll have to be replaced eventually. It's saved a few outdoor handles. 😉

Excellent content. Much appreciated.

Fuel stabilizer is great but I never store fuel for over a year. I usually siphon out fuel from the outgoing season and toss it in my car's gas tank and get fresh fuel for the incoming season. But thats just me. Nice demonstration! God bless! ❤️

@@Hammerdak I put only ethanol free fuel in all of my equipment.
@sethmoking Жыл бұрын
@@Hammerdak That's true, but I've never hit that limit where fuel won't work and I've used some old ass fuel. Also, you can add new fuel to a half full fuel can with old fuel and it will "revitalize" it. At least that's my experience.

Good idea of the blast pad to save your grass. I saw on another channel (DMF Homestead) that they put a dryer hose and a clamp on there's to put it in a cart. I'm sure it could work the same with a wheelbarrow.

Why is it that some wood chippers are measured in CCs while others are measured in horsepower?
@hellogoodbye31294 ай бұрын
Displacement is a useless number. Hp measures work force or in advertising. Predator has a 6.6hp motor at 224cc and champion has a supposed 7hp. More horse power = bigger fly wheel or faster wheel speed recovery.

Just got one. I haven't tried it yet, but the price was right and I jumped at it since I have a yard to clear... Have you ever rented that out to folks in your hood?

@@Hammerdak That's logical. I get that. I'm looking forward to giving mine a run in the next few days. Great video, thanks for sharing. :)

Gas has a shelf life of 3 to 6 months so as long as you drain it or put fuel stabilizer in around 3 month mark you should be ok.

this is absolutely best video of a review/demonstration of this unit. any chance you've tested anything just more than a 3" branch? i'm guessing fed slowly it might be ok but... either way thank you so much so such a real world demonstration of this unit.

Thanks for the positive comment. The unit will handle anything that will fit the diameter of the chipper opening. It is worth hanging onto the “ big branch “ so that you can control the feed as the RPMs do slow a bit. But that seems to only be necessary if the branch is 5 or more feet long. I’ve ran the unit for maybe 30 hours so far and never stalled it or felt the need to sharpen the blades.

I have one like that and the hole for the chipper will only take a 2 1/2 inch branch. It will chew one that size up for about 4 feet and then choke the engine down if you do not hold it back. Called them and they sent another chute. It was about one tenth of an inch larger. Still much less than 2 3/4 inches. Also the 3 mounting holes were too small. I can not measure metric but the holes were 23/64 inches and the studs were 25/64 inches. I drilled the holes out to mount the new chute even though it was only slightly larger.
