Used to sell Champions rigged with Yamahas. Hard to beat a Champion for rough water ride...have one of the deepest v-hulls in a bass boat. They are stout boats and very well made. Not gonna win any races but for bigger and rougher lakes, they are fantastic.

5:13 They didn’t have gps back then, and the speedometers back then were way off, I doubt a 175hp motor is going to do in the 70s maybe mid 60s! It would take a 225 to push these heavy boats to those speeds!

I've got an 89 with a 175. It does about 50-55 loaded down. Full tank of gas full livewell tackle etc. And I'm a big dude...no way its hitting 70 lol
