Guys like this have a 6th sense with their birds. You can learn and study all you want but some people are just naturally gifted with animals and then you combine that with a good work ethic and passion and you get a champion.

Very nice interview. A super set of birds he has cultivated. Satanas is a beauty. It was good seeing Stratos outside his natural habitat 😁

Yes indeed, he's got the goods 👌 I held maybe 8 birds and my oh my 😍 Steve helped me set up the interview, it was nice to hang out with the two of them.

Good video and good info. He definitely got lucky with his birds, lots of guys buy the same blood and do nothing with them. Takes a lot of luck in this sport.
@ausfuhrpramienjagar6 ай бұрын
Lucky? You don't win that many combine races, especially in the CJC with luck, even if you might have the best strain of pigeons in the world in your loft. You just answered your own statement when you said "lots of guys buy the same blood and do nothing with them". That just solidifies the fact that he IS in fact doing something right with his birds to be consistently successful and luck had nothing to do with it. Having great blood in the loft helps to a degree, but won't do diddly, unless you add other things into the equation like training and the care of the birds. Having good bloodlines only helps you to get started on the right foot, nothing more. The results you have to earn. JMHO

@@ausfuhrpramienjagar Many GREAT fanciers have purchased the same blood with little success, is all I’m saying. It takes a degree of luck to get a good one. I’m not saying Manuel isn’t a great manager, he has absolutely proven to be the real deal in this sport. It’s only when you put your neck on the chopping block week after week you realize how much luck it takes to get a good bird. You can buy the best birds in the word, mate them together and get nothing out of them, or get handed a gift bird and it becomes your foundation breeder. Ad Schaerlaeckens said it many many times. “It takes luck in this sport”
@MaydisLoft6 ай бұрын
Luck is a part of the sport no doubt. But I think if one has good quality birds it knocks on the door more often, 😆
@AdrianP_loft6 ай бұрын
@@MaydisLoft I’m not saying he got lucky in winning races, just saying he got lucky getting good birds while others have not.

@@AdrianP_loft I get what you mean, I hear it all the time, people have these big name birds with top background but they still don't see the results. Luck does play in getting the perfect mating. That's also why we try mix up pairs if we haven't seen progress in the offspring. What would you say is the most time to give them a second chance, 2 years?
