This is a video that transcends League Of Legends I (and probably every single player that watched and will watch this video) am 100% sure this is one of the most important things no one says I'm really thankful, you did a really good job man I'll probably watch this multiple times because it seems to have more information that what it seems If you were so kind I'd like to know the name of the book you read Thank you very much have a nice day

Wow thank you so much Vandren, means a lot to me. I was a little nervous about this one, since I haven't shared this theory in the public properly before. It was always something I used internally. The book was called "Start With Why" by Simon Sinek :) Appreciate it mate
@Grayard4 жыл бұрын
@@CoachCurtis Thank you very much (Y) IMO you theory is one of the best approach ive heared, ofc some ppl can do crazy stuff with some champs but with this theory as a base to get into the right mindset it makes easier to learn the fundamentals of any champ and build from there, also it makes way easier to switch playstyles between games X) thats only my opinion ofc

I've had my account since season 1. Been on and off a lot, friends and I are older, many have quit. Sometimes there's no motivation to play anymore. But watching your videos really re-ignites my desire to play the game! I used to only play melee bruisers or melee midlaners, but I've had so much fun learning Taliyah and Zoe. It's refreshing to learn another playstyle and not feel like I'm throwing the game as a complete liability.

“I was just thinking about how we can affect deeper and longer lasting changes in each other’s behavior by trying to see through the surface level, into the depths of who we really and truly are and what we believe, leading us to better communication, healthier relationships, and a more empathetic world. Nothing too special, I know, but then I had a beautiful thought! Maybe we can use this way of thinking to get better at League!”

Thank you for this. This is my first season on league and I was struggling to carry as a top laner before i watched your videos. I realized that since I'm not very experienced, the best way to carry a game is to roam (yes as a top laner) or tp gank whenever theres an opening. In 2 days i went from bronze 3 to bronze 1 after a 9 win streak in solo queue, mvp in 7 of those games. I won the games by getting my team so far ahead by only tping twice in laning phase and roaming while my wave was shoved to help my teammates secure objectives or win teamfights. by the end of the games my team usually had an over 10k gold lead. i learned how to actually play the champions i climb with from watching other guides and making inferences based on their kits such as how darius would love longer trades because of his bleed and from prior experience with Fiora, i know how to win a lot of the losing matchups on those champions.

Probably one of your most impactful videos 🤗 real life example : I was extremely bad at playing Alistar until I realized I was playing him wrong. skill capped for example established such things as laning "archetypes" which kind of generalizes certain champion kit's (or identities) and conclude the ones who are similar in what they want to achieve and how they want to achieve it. It gives a very good overall look on things like lane dynamic and matchups and is especially usefull for less experienced players . Champion idenditiy is even a whole lot deeper and i think it is especially relevant for onetricks/mains very interesting topic once again
@CoachCurtis4 жыл бұрын
That sounds like it's in the same vein, this strategy of champion identity is less about categories and more about specificity, so that you can master a specific champ :) Thanks mate

Hi Coach Curtis, I stumbled on your vids recently and I had to comment and remark on how concise and yet expansive your discussions on this topic are. I typically hate watching league of legends videos, but you make it far more easy and enjoyable. Ps. I'm not sure if anyone has told you this, but you remind me of Carl Benjamin a bit!
@rakovlamm76254 жыл бұрын
Love the video! I have been improving so much after watching your videos and have been finding the true meaning of having fun with League of Legends! For the longest time, I could not find anyone who explained and was completely confused by pro casters or challenger streamers who tended to skip the fundamentals. Not only are you able to make the concepts easy to understand, but you are also able to execute them during games completely purposefully at a high level, unlike any other content creator I have ever seen in any game. I also have a question - with the recent minor buffs to Ryze, is he good in soloq right now? It seems like that in the recent months, you are the only one who has said that he is good for soloq.
@CoachCurtis4 жыл бұрын
Wow thanks so much man, really means a lot to hear that sort of feedback. I think that Ryze is not that bad in higher elo games, he actually has some decent matchups. He can be good into Ekko/Sylas which are two common soloq picks atm. But I feel like he struggles in lower elos because he is hard to micro manage, he requires great tethering, solid macro understanding and an intention at all times. I believe the buff really doesn't change much, it was extremely small. But he is on the edge, 1 or 2 more bufffs and he will be meta again.

Hey! Thank you so much for this video! I play all roles in low to mid diamond with a goal to climb to masters maining jungle this season. I really struggle with the champion identity of lee sin. I feel like i have a good idea of other more straight forward junglers like jarvan, zac and fiddlesticks, but i find lee sin really hard to pinpoint, and thus sometimes gets lost, and often feel i lack the foresight and planning i normally have when playing beforementioned junglers. 3 camping into river for with a focus on ganking is a strategy i often use, and i can often "handbrake" into 4 camps - scuttle if the laners somehow end up unexpectedly shoving, or if im afraid of countergank (ww, olaf). This often works, and i am quite familiar on the transitions from there if i am successful, but on the other hand, lee sin has such a powerfull lvl 6 and warrior spike, so i often contemplate if and when the early risk of 3 camping is worth it considering lee sins spikes. I know the question of "what is lee sins champion identity" cant be answered in any meaningful depth in a youtube comment, so i guess my next question would be how do i get in touch with you, and do you offer coaching? I have a batchelors degree in social learning, and actually do coaching and analysis as a sidejob, so naturally this stuff REALLY interests me and i´m really eager to learn more. I hope you notice this, and i look forward to reading your response! Thank you so much for what you do for the league community! Much appreciated. - Johannes.

Excellent perspective, once again! Albeit, forgive my audacious claim, I believe that any given champion's identity is not objective/ absolute, for much of some champions' depth comes from the player's own philosophy of the game. Which leads one to wonder, should he stick to the conventional and yet solidly established template of a champion or wager on the path less traveled by... I salute your efforts, the originality of your content and how soft-spoken your presentations are. Thank you coach. P.S: I have as my champion pool in midlane = azir, ryze, ekko and jayce (jayce being my favorite champion), please tell me these are not underwhelming champions to climb solo q from, say...bronze? Also, will you by any chance do some vidos on top lane in the futur? Thanks again
@CoachCurtis4 жыл бұрын
I totally agree with you, each persons interpretation of the champions identity will be slightly different. That's actually the most exciting thing, and where you can learn the most during discussion :) I think your pool is great, but very difficult for a bronze player unfortunately. I'd simplify the champions within the pool, to things with more simple kits that are less micro intensive. Unfortunately I'm only doing mid lane oriented content for now
@poeticfeint97174 жыл бұрын
@@CoachCurtis And "very difficult" is what I seek, funnily enough. I actually started playing league at the second half of season 9, and reached silver 3 playing strictly Jayce mid and some ekko into katarina/ zed (seemed easier to shut them down/ outroam them with ekko), and now I'm starting again from bronze. And I asked you about toplane, because I might swich to it or play it simultaneously with midlane, since I seem to enjoy 1v1/1v2 situations on sidelanes far too much (Ryze and Jayce should be good mid/ top flex picks right?) Also, is there anywhere I could contact you, coach? Thanks for the attention and care. - an overly ambitious neophyte of league :)
