Nice comparison, but I don't understand, why the i90 has more points than the i100 when it comes to features. With the 180° degree rotatable chin bar the i100 should have won this category.

I got the HJC100 and am very happy with it... especially the noise isolation and ventilation is commendable - the reason I bought the helmet was the 180deg rotating chin bar which is very well designed. I use it when I scoot. Yet it is a veeeery big helmet though - and I do notice the occasional smirks around me - makes me look smarter than I am though.

I just got an i100. Fits great and is comfortable. It is a little heavy but nothing too bad. They look big on your head but full face and Modular’s always do. Has a double d ring strap. I believe it’s going to be a good purchase. Quality built.

I think a comparison between 180 modular helmets would be interesting. I know you don't usually review LS2 helmets but the Advant ff906 would be an interesting model to compare with the HJC i100 (which I'm considering buying).

i100 Would interfere with mounting my GoPro camera to the top of the helmet with the chin bar that rotates 180° back.. good review, you covered things I never saw covered in any other motorcycle helmet review as far as internal noise, and temperature..

In the features section the only differences noted between the 2 were that on the i100 the chin bar opened 180d and it had a higher safety rating -yet it scored .5 stars less. WHY?

Thank you. To get the 22.06 certification the helmets will have to undergo a stricter test. Modular helmets will now be subject to testing with the chin bar left closed and with the chin bar opened, which is a new requirement compared to the 22.05 certification!

The Exo-Tech Evo Pro is about 200 grams lighter, and comes with an additional dark smoke visor in the box. But, this helmet has no rear exhaust, so warm air inside the helmet has nowhere to go, making it a bit warmer. In our testing, we found the Exo-Tech to be a bit more comfortable to wear, but that is subjective of course. However, we did measure the i100 te be about one decibel quieter in our road-testing. So, if you prefer wearing lightweight helmets, the Exo-Tech is the way to go. But if you don't care as much about the weight difference, the i100 does have slightly better testing results.

Hello Emir, both helmets are P/J certified which means you can ride with the chin bar open. But we recommend to ride with chin bar closed!
