It wasn't the first time a 300 game was bowled on television, but it was the first time a 300 game was captured on film or videotape and preserved for later viewing on television. And it happened on Championship Bowling, which, in 1954, originated from Faetz-Niesen Recreation in Chicago, IL. Steve Nagy etched his name in bowling history with his 300 game, which had viewers on the edge of their seats.
