In my heart of hearts, I believe if Plaxico did not have his gun incident and missed the rest of the season, the Giants would've gone back-to-back and won the SB that year. With Plaxico, the Giants beat each participant in the Conference Championship Games (Pittsburgh, Baltimore, Philly, Arizona). Once Plaxico was gone, the offense just wasn't the same.

The New York Giants defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers 21-14. I remembered James Harrison went for a safety at the end zone. Brandon Jacobs was a big, powerful back pounding the ball with his 6-4 frame and somewhere like 264 pounds. He ran for 47 yards on 18 carries. Then, Ben Roethilsberger had a very horrible game when he threw for 4 interceptions in this game. The Giants managed to score 12 points in the fourth quarter to secure the win. It was a close game, but the Giants were able to come out on top. The Steelers had the best throwback uniforms by far.

What a game! Taking it back to freshman year in college. That '08 Giants team was legit and a force to be reckoned with; their defense was NASTY! Then, when Plaxico went to the nightclub and got involved with that felony, the Giants season was over; they came back to earth! Plaxico was a great mix match and that running game with Jacobs, Ward, and Bradshaw was crazy (aka Earth Wind & Fire) The Steelers and Giants at the Superbowl would've been a match for the ages; I think it still would've been dramatic like the Cardinals and Steelers SuperBowl match up.

It’s ridiculously weird that 2008 was the last time the Giants beat the Steelers! It’s also somewhat odd that New York scored four field goals, one safety, and one touchdown to win 21-14, despite Pittsburgh dominating this game with all the yardage! Furthermore, Ben Roethlisberger has an all-time record of 3-1 in head-to-head matchups against Eli Manning in the regular season, as both quarterbacks were part of the draft class of 2004!

Steelers defense didn't deserve to lose this game. They shut down the #1 rush offense that year. The Steelers ultimately lost because their offense continuously made mistakes. Giants outgained them, has more first downs and better on 3rd down. Steelers offense fell apart in the 2nd half.

We already know the game tonight will not be nearly as good as this one. The NFL schedule makers are sick in the head. I can MAYBE understand all the Jets primetime games what with Rodgers (a massive gamble that failed to pay off last year and yet they forced it on us again this year) but to put THE DANIEL JONES Giants in MULTIPLE primetime spots is absolutely sickening. I don’t care about their “media market” they’re terrible and boring and it sucks that they get so many primetime games over other much better, much more entertaining teams.
