I have never watched DWTS but as a fan of figure skating, I watched Kristi Yamaguchi plenty! I was looking for something else on youtube and this caught my eye so I started to watch Kristi and Mark and could not stop! Wow! Amazing dancers together, costumes and just pure joy to watch. I was mesmerized by their athletism, their rhythm, their musicality, their expressions, and cohesiveness as dance partners. And Mark is very easy on the eyes! I am sure glad I got stuck on this video!

Christie and her talented instructor danced so explicitly. Christie's stamina of remembering so many complicated steps, glides across the floor in perfect expressive balance. I also loved both beautiful expensive costumes for each and every performance. Congratulations to the seamstresses for those durability fabrics without coming unsewn. !!

I loved Kristi and Mark when I first saw them. I was so young back then, but I was very obsessed with DWTS and Kristi was my choice for winner from the beginning.

Kristi by far was the best ever! Her beauty, grace and sheer talent far surpassed and still surpasses any celebrity who has competed including Meryl Davis. Her scores were too low in comparison and her average should have been 30. Their free style has not been matched since. All her costumes were stunning and "decent" for a "family" show bringing dignity and honor to herself and the show. She is radiantly beautiful inside and out.

In my opinion, I feel that Kristy should have received at least one 10 for her Viennese Waltz and Samba because I feel like she was underscored in those dances.

it was addressed a long time ago, but that was a common misconception! the skills needed aren't the same, and she also struggled with her club foot making it hard to get her steps right. The judges also took a lot of points from her for a lack of emotion/theatre/presence during performances.

Wow--they didn't get their first perfect score until week 6!!---the judges that season were more brain dead than usual!!---they should have had at least 2 perfect scores before that!!

However, they did get a 27 for the very first week, and she never scored below an 8 the entire season. Model of consistency.

Well also don’t forget the judges were more strict back then than they are now. Kristi would of had triple tens from Week 3 until pretty much the end of the show with her seasons performances had she competed nowadays.
