I'm no longer have respect for Joel Budden after he tried to play chance and say WTF is this song/style of rap. This is poetic, this is lyricism, this is hip-hop.
@dajion137 жыл бұрын
MrDanteiscool No, this is rap, people love to give whatever definitions they like to "real" hip hop, but the further we go back into the chronology of this genre the more we realize chance is one of the furthest things from it. Does that make him bad? Of course not, but don't assign him an ill fitting label
@QCLato7 жыл бұрын
This is pure Hip Hop. Poetic intricacies related to real life issues, stigmas and ideals facing the community at hand. We don't need purple jumpsuits and upbeat tempos to call something hip hop. We don't need drug speak and Gucci jackets to call something rap. It's all one genre. There is no divide. It's like pretending Elvis doesn't fall into the same category as ACDC. Hip Hop is the whole. Rap is the sub-genre.

this is my version hope yall fw it The stars will start converse if you Listen closely. They so loud You can hear them from What rhymes with closely. I flirted with death she was Cute as ever. She told me She’d meet me in the afterlife like whenever. Jumped through a couple cell towers Make sure my text went through. If I wasn’t broke I could probably Tell you when the rent due. Take care of you girl I tend to And run from all of our problems Like there’s no issue. If I get emotional Don’t bother passing me tissue. There’s pain and anger deep down inside of me This a never before seen side Of me y’all gone have to see. First world problems we tend to make up. Lucid dreaming makes it hard to wake up. When too little turns to too much lucid dreaming Makes it hard to wake up. The day is on its way it couldn’t wait no more. Here it comes ready or not. 2x My parents want their pride and joy back. It gets real hard to find all the joy and I can’t get no decent peace Anywhere at all. I tripped over Autumn which had caused a great fall. As poverty increases, morals Start decreasing. Little five points Has an extra spot for a reason. I done seen so many folks roll Up they window when folks ask for Spare change. Dawg I’m tired. I miss My joy I miss my game boy I miss my friends From way back then I miss my drums I miss My fun I miss that girl I ditched my girl I kissed The ground and tried to pray and then gave up Cause there’s no way. If you can tell me god exist You can try all you want because I think he’s in Heaven binge drinking while all the hate in the messed up World still exist man First world problems we tend to make up. Lucid dreaming makes it hard to wake up. When too little turns to too much lucid dreaming Makes it hard to wake up. The day is on its way it couldn’t wait no more. Here it comes ready or not. 2x 3 verses and I’m still tired. I aint even popping yet and I still Wanna retire. The only emergency Brake I used was granny’s recliner. I couldn’t help you with algebra But I could probably help you find the Nearest lighter. Could really use a nap. Like an eternal one. Could really use some… That’s inappropriate. Don’t really need A counselor I can fight my own battles. She done talked to me about girls and how to Handle my anxiety countless times man I’m tired, I need some friends, could use some friends, I need to vent, I need to disappear, I need A diffrerent spear to catch Orion, just for her and sleep with lions, I can’t tell you how many times I went to sleep wondering if there will Even be a tomorrow for me sorry brodie These are First world problems we tend to make up. She can’t wake up without her face in makeup. Instead of asking of my day was I’m guessing You’d probably ask me to do another mister rogers Impression. I said first world problems we tend to make up. Lucid dreaming makes it hard to wake up. When too little turns to too much lucid dreaming Makes it hard to wake up. The day is on its way it couldn’t wait no more. Here it comes ready or not. 2x The day is on its way it couldn’t wait no more. Here it comes ready or not. 2x

Everything I have ever seen or heard from Chance The Rapper I adore........limited as it may be (gasp I am cell phoneless ...by choice...hence low-tech)........all I feel is a poets heart........he shares as well as cares.....he makes me feel like a momma proud of youth today.........ages may talk different, but we always feel the same as well have done the same ........only technology and terminology changes......never the message......we all hurt ,we all ache, we all love, and we all share' and bleed for one another ...........the difference is in the media of the time .......he is beauty. So saw the Colbert performance two or three days after his writing and sharing song...................he shared and yet you critiqued before being moved or liked he flubbed ............piss on that enjoy the greatness
