Chancellor 'not satisfied' with latest GDP figures

The chancellor has spoken to Sky News after data showed the economy grew by just 0.1% in the first three months of the new Labour government.
Rachel Reeves told Sky's Gurpreet Narwan that economic growth is 'the number one mission of this new government'.

Whenever a politician says, "I have always been honest" beware. The £40 bn tax rise and increased borrowing are not to stimulate growth, they can't, but to fund their plans to increase the public sector, support immigrants, hand over more money in overseas aid, and fund the economically suicidal zero carbon project. The result of this will be negative growth, capital flight, a fall in the pound, increased unemployment, cost inflation, and lower tax revenue as GDP falls.
