What they said at the end can only go so far. Yeah you can play along and then diss them back and have a laugh BUT you run the gamut of essentially just being the "How can I be racist I have a x friend" and YOU'RE the "friend". For example: I was in an Uber a few years ago, the driver was one of the darkest black man I've ever met IRL and despite this he made it his business to make sure I and my cousin KNEW he was half-white and that all his (white) friends thought he was a smart guy and "respected" him because he didn't go with the status quo and "question" the narrative... all of that lead up just to say his (white) friends thought he was a smart guy for saying insane shit like black people who got hosed down, beaten and killed during the Civil Rights Movement DESERVED it because fighting for their rights was against the law and that's what happens when you are criminals breaking the law. Like they said, the way it's done in Rush Hour works because they have a rapport with each other, there isn't a power dynamic, it ain't punching down and they each get their kicks in... but don't let yourself fall into being the token minority that is "cool, one of the good ones with a good sense of humor" as they all belittle you and use you as a shield
