That is the road towards Tirthan valley also known as Sarchi road. You will have take a left before Banjar. Follow along on left bank of tirthan river. Check between 4:01 and 4:20. Destination is goo.gl/maps/SMM1dZTVGnmFyvow5

@himachalinomad Hey! We are planning a family trip (adults) from chandigarh to chail and then shoja. Is the road after chail a one way? How is the quality of roads?

Chandigarh to Chail - Till kandaghat, road is National highway with four lane work almost 90% completed. From Kandaghat to Chail (kzbin.info/www/bejne/gX68k6CvhZuKo8U), road is bit narrower. Overall, roads are decent. Chail to Shoja - Generally speaking, Chail and Shoja are not part of same route. Chail is in Distt Shimla and Shoja in Distt Kullu near Jalori Pass. Anyways, if you have planned it that way, then you need to follow this route: Chail - Kufri - Theog - Narkanda - Kumarsain - Anni - Jalori Pass - Shoja. Anni - Jalori Pass - Shoja (NH305) is a tricky and challenging stretch. Roads are narrow. Rookie drivers need to be really careful. I have covered NH305 from Kullu side You can watch this video to get a general idea of road between jalori pass and shoja -- kzbin.info/www/bejne/jZupdKmamqprr68 General Rule of thumb regarding road conditions in Himachal : National Highways (NH) are in excellent condition mostly. State Highways (SH) are good but one notch below NH. As soon as you leave NH or SH and venture onto Major District Roads (MDR) or link roads - be ready for surprises, roads can be extremely narrow or unmetalled or both.
