I own several Chandler Limited TG 2's since they first started and I love them. They sound totally different from my SSL's and they get a lot of use in my studio. I also use them as inserts with my SSL X Rack 16 channel mix bus when I do mixes and they sound fantastic! Great demo Pete, as usual!

Good Idea to use them as inserts, I was looking for something like that to give some colour, I also use an X-Rack.

What amazes me is, that you can come up with such original music every single time you make a vid. Do you collect parts and puzzle them from time to time, or does it all fall into place for you? I always have a hard time to find something unusual for my songs. I'm curious.

Hi, thanks! I really don't know I guess I am influenced by a lot of stuff, I try to experiment and write in different styles and not do just one thing, and I always think about melody!

Hey Pete Thorn, Love your videos! Would you say that the Germ MKII is darker than the TGII 500 pre? I feel like I never quite get the top end I need. Mic position is key but your acoustic guitar sound in the Chandler TGII is definitely more open on top. What is your take on this? Thank you in advance. Best, Travis

the germ is probably less bright in some situations. the feedback chills out the top end as you turn it up, and its most bright with the feedback on low.

Is there a difference between the 500 mk2 and the OG rackmount one? I’m looking to get one but can’t decide.

There's two different rackmounts, there's the OG Mk1, and the current mk2. Not exactly sure the sonic differences, but I was told "The MK1 is better" by a trusted friend, and I love the MK1 I just got. Usually 500 versions are slightly less full sounding, but that's not always the case.
