I mean, this should make Chandler Smith one of the favorites for the truck championship right off the bat. It's a truck capable of winning. It'll be a battle between Heim, Majeski, and Smith all year.

Can’t forget Hemric. He’s going to be very consistent in that 19 truck. Also can’t count out guys like Riggs or Rajah. Plus Ben Rhodes could very well decide to become a championship contender again.

Judge Whitney recused himself. Recusals are usually used for a conflict of interest. I'm not surprised it came after the first ruling. That's when opposing council will reveal for the first time the conflict of interest and asks the judge to recuse himself. It's much more powerful AFTER a judge has made a ruling as he has difficulty denying it. It throws defense council for a loop and reveals just how prepared opposing council is. Pretty much SOP courtroom antics.....expect plenty more. FRM and 23XI hired the best in the business.

@aaronbaird944426 күн бұрын
Incorrect. Whitney OFFERED to recuse, but both parties were ok with him. Whitney announced 12/2 that he is immediately moving into a reserve judge role, a semi-retirement, for judges. That is why the case was reassigned
@markalbert901126 күн бұрын
@@johnhaas2523 He certainly did himself no favors by sitting on a case that he knew his rulings would be overturned regardless of how he ruled. Rule for 23XI and NASCAR gets the ruling thrown out on whatever the conflict of interest was. AND why was Kessler good with him sitting? Regardless of how he ruled the loser would ask for him to recuse himself. Why not just accept his recusal? I understand NASCAR's hope, but Kessler does nothing by chance. He clearly thought it benefited his case to do so.

"The charter agreement has already been signed for those charters"? Who signed the agreement? Stewart-Haas Racing? They don't exist. Haas Factory Team? The team was created with the knowledge they were running ONE chartered team. If the team that signed the charter agreement is the team tied to the individual charter, the Trackhouse charter is either a lease, or NASCAR is full of shit. Left out of the #1 selling diecast story is that they didn't even announce it until late October. It went to #1 in a little over a month.

SHR signed the charter agreement when they were a 4 car team. SHR then sold 3 of them. Then the season ended and SHR became Haas factory. You made this way too complicated for yourself
@lovejoyb2026 күн бұрын
@johnhaas2523 OK, you answered the rhetorical questions (because they're irrelevant). How about the actual issue? If SHR is the signee of the agreement, then based on NASCAR's retarded argument the Trackhouse charter is either leased from SHR, or the fact that SHR signed the charter agreement has nothing to do with the two other charters they sold. You can't concede that 23XI and FRM can run their own two charters (as court ordered) and argue they can't run the third charters because they "belong" to SHR. NASCAR is absolutely starting to show their desperation because they know damn well they're going to lose.

The Hooters scheme also might be the last one ever - or at least for now, so that is also a factor. For an antitrust trial that schedule is... Warp freakin' 10. Michael Jordan better watch out or he'll turn into a lizard like that Voyager episode. Ahem. Seriously, that's an incredible pace for what is usually a complex proceeding. It helps this one is less complext than most, but...

Chandler would have better success in the family construction business than a racing career, moving every year to a new team is moving too often. Chandler should ask Sheldon Creed if he would like to come work in the construction business too since Sheldon changes teams yearly. You can't build success if change teams yearly. All collectibles & diecasts is just a total waste of money unless you own a business & planning to resale for a profit, only thing they good for at home is collecting dust. I stopped buying any collectibles such as NASCAR or any other Pro Sports teams in mid 90's.

Hey can I be honest with you at BrakeHard at Matt the only reason Corey lajoie's car was in the top number 6 which is better than Chase Elliott is because the Hooters they you know I'm guessing they have a lawsuit against Hooters for not paying Chase Elliott on that sponsorship so that's why it was so low.? Not sure about that. 23XL and FRM were able to demonstrate their teams would suffer damage with the possibility they might lose drivers or sponsors. That is all. This isn’t an admission they have a monopoly or actually have any momentum in the case.
@joelcheek349426 күн бұрын
I disagree with you. It seems like the judge awarded the injunction because Reddick notified 23xi they were in default of his driving contract (another lawyer involved), Bubba notified the team he was going to look for another ride, with both driver's confronting 23xi and wanting to know what the plan was for them to drive in 2025 (you'd think smugg 23xi would have had all of that figured out BEFORE filing the lawsuit). Plus, Monster Energy notified 23xi they would sit on the sidelines until the team got chartered again, and Love's Travel Stop informed FRM something similar, according to Jayskis just today. It sounds to me like NASCAR is partially going along with the injunction for the sake of the drivers (it's product) and the sponsors (it's customers), and not because "they lost." 23xi and FRM are still on the losing end at this point.
@NateGravy123-kp5ou25 күн бұрын
@@joelcheek3494 you just expanded on my point. The drivers weren’t going anywhere. The majority of 23XL sponsor are very secure with MJ sand the Herbst family. NASCAR isn’t going along with it they are appealing this ruling.
