If the new head gaskets were OEM, either the heads weren’t torque down properly or the heads weren’t surfaced properly (or combination of both).

I still don’t understand how one dyno just puts in a percentage to convert to what other dynos will show. Why not just stick with what that dyno actually says it makes? I had my sti dynoed on a hub dyno which is completely accurate but I wouldn’t convert what my car made to what it would make on another dyno just to say if I was in so and so dyno my car would actually make this power.

Someone asked that in a comment a while back and he said you would have to give him somewhere in the 70k range to build it. Sounds pricey but you gotta keep in mind that as far as performace goes your talking about something that would compete with $1mil+ production cars.

Depends on your term of drag build. 800whp is usually around 45k / 1000whp+ begins around 70-75k

For a short amount of time yes. E85 is the main reason why. I’ve yet to see any EJ reliably crack those numbers on standard 93 pump... it will blow, I wouldn’t daily a stock block STi at those numbers lol

Regardless of how you treat it that is a lot of stress on the stock cylinders which are quite brittle. You’re running on borrowed time at that point. Built block is where it’s at for an STi if you plan on exceeding 400 whp on pump gas...
