Sir i have defined new environment "example" and I am trying to cross reference the example but in output I am getting ??. Although I have checked it several time with double compilation. I am using the code \begin{example}\label{Ex:1} Some text and equations \end{example} ef{Ex:1} Please help me. Thank you very much.

Yes, use \hypersetup{hidelinks=true} before \begin{document}.
