Chandralekha is a 1998 Telugu film, directed by Krishna Vamsi. The film stars Akkineni Nagarjuna, Ramya Krishna, and Bollywood actress Isha Koppikar in the lead roles and also Srikanth,Murali Mohan,Chandra Mohan,Giri Babu,Tanikella Bharani,Rallapalli,M. S. Narayana,Brahmaji,Benerjee,Pruthvi Raj,Ramaraju,Sivaji Raja,Uttej,Chitti,Junior Relangi,Narsing Yadav,Rama Prabha,Malika,Priya,Sanjay Dutt. Sandeep Chowtha scored music for the film. This is the second combination of Nagarjuna-Vamsi-Chowtha after Ninne Pelladatha. Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt made a special appearance for the first time in a Telugu film. This film is a remake of the Mohanlal Starrer Malayalam film Chandralekha which was directed by Priyadarshan.

This one of my favourite movie this film I watched in theatre .I still remember that was my 6th standard when the film released after vinayaka chaviti celebrations over my entire colony friends watched this film in Kalpana theatre in eluru city.we went second show,no one is there in theatre at that time only our friends did see the film. That was un forgettable experience.this film was flop at that time.but I liked the movie when I saw it. Movie itself is a wonderful experience apart from that my experience of watching this film also memorable.

The original Chandralekha Malayalam version, Mohanlal has portrayed mixed emotions in every situations effortlessly Such a movie which has an actor to perform varying emotions of fear mockery tricks sympathy romance and a lot more packed in humor is a tough job. Mohanlal has over delivered to what the script demanded and made it an epic. Also not forgetting to mention great supporting actors like Shreeni, NedumudiVenu, Innocent, Maamukoya, Cochin haneefa, Maniyanpilla Raju However when I accidentally saw this movie I realize how difficult it is for other actors to portray such characters The efforts of Nagarjuna is seen in every frame The credits might also go the directors who brilliantly use their actors Cheers to Priyadarshan for such a wonderful comedy epic The tweaks the telegu version has made in script intending to make it commercial and sentimental is not worth commenting
