I am glad to hear that the ChaSTE payload in pragyaan rover has found a huge temperature difference in lunar surface (i.e 50 deg Celsius on topsoil to -10 deg Celcius under 8cm depth as shown in the graph). This indicates that temperature gets extremely cold when depth increases. This finding has many benefits. In future, if we build a space station in the moon, we can store rocket fuel like liquid hydrogen and liquid nitrogen inside the surface. Because, liquid hydrogen and liquid nitrogen are cryogenic fuel which require -253 deg celcius to store. Since, the rover has found that the temperature decreases when we go deep into surface, so this may be useful to store such fuels. Benefits of storing such fuel in moon is, if we have space station in moon we can go to other planets quicker than from earth. Somehow we need a rocket to travel from moon to other planets, so the fuel stored under can be used for rocket. Another benefit is, we can also store water inside the surface in ice form. so that it may not be evaporated soon and can be used whenever there is a need. This paves a way for human existence in moon. Jai Hind !

please give my suggestion to isro" save rover by sending it back inside lander and let it stay inside till sunrise. China told its rover is more than hundred kilogram and it can withstand more lunar days but ours is 27 kg hence it can work only one lunar day. Our lander is 1500kg if rover went back inside it can stay more lunar days.If lander has extra fuel it can hover to another destination to investigate along with rover inside. kindly check for the chances."

You have very nice imagination… you should study about thermodynamics & celestial mechanics. Yes, I can understand, why you gave such a suggestion because of the fact, there is still some on board fuel… first ask yourself why there is a need to extend the time for experiments & exploration? What are we really searching for? It’s a data gathering exercise & experiments… you know what are the payloads, so with such tools, what else are you planning to conduct. Do you think, the scientists objective is to extend the experiments or days, they are not capable? If after 14 days, & when the lander faces the sunlight & starts getting warm, & the components work, they consider it a bonus & might assign a small team, to continue experiments with new sets of parameters… or if certain hypotheses have not been met? Understand, our group of scientists have some predictive hypothesis even before they start the mission. With the collected data, they will know whether they are right or perhaps our instruments(not all) are not working accurately… understand… even though we had done a lot of test with these instruments… the instruments picking up unknown molecules on moon is totally another story…

I only asked yourself to compute the force required to take off 500 kg(assuming to the weight of fuel left & craft) from moon, then we need to at least go 1 more round around moon, turn the other to start “braking” & do the whole process again, so guess, how much of fuel is still needed? Though, the moon have no atmosphere, it still need x ktn of force. If 98% of the weight of the total aircraft is allocated for fuel, than, I guess, you can get your answer. The more you keep on reading in your free time, anything field, quantum mechanics, etc… it’s not that difficult to comprehend, it’s only going deeper into the atom & dealing with particles, it’s still about energy, mass & wave… since, you said you have not studied celestial motion, why not look in 2 body question. Then proceed to 3 body problem & solution. Perhaps, this where you would appreciate Enstien’s special realative theory, a much better implementation from newton celestial motions… everything in science flows from these… if you need more time to fully maths behind these calculations, the list goes on… I am relatively old, & I am still learning & never amazed by the findings of great minds still proving theories…
