এই ভিডিও কিন্তু ভাইরাল হবেনা। 1 ঘন্টা 20মিন এর ভিডিও একটানা দেখার মতো ধৈর্য মানুষের আর নেই। সিনেমা ছেড়ে তাই সিরিজের দিকে মানুষের মন গেছে বেশি। তবে এত লম্বা একটা বক্তৃতা যে আমিও একটানা রীতিমতো নেশগ্রস্থের মতো গিলতে পারবো সেটা আমার নিজেরো ধারণনার বাইরে ছিল। আরেকটু শিক্ষিত করে দেওয়ার জন্যে ধন্যবাদ চন্দ্রিলদা। প্রনাম জানালাম।

Excellent. The eye in science fiction is the key in the discussion. Typically people look into the upper glamour in such novels, but the soul of those writings lie in the message, and how in most simplified way the author conveys through the book.. is the actual Wow factor in sci fi novels, not in its number of gadgets.. and also the turmoil human life goes through and survive in odds, with life power without extraordinary machines at times

In typical French intellectualism, Truffaut did not take Bradbury's conclusions at face value, and depicted the dissidents to be just as fanatical as their nemeses -- the firemen. To name a film that was inspired by Zamyatin, it would have to be Tarkovsky’s Stalker. Mel Gibson wanted to film Fahrenheit 451 again, but with more action. The plan fell through. An action movie would have been the very antithesis of the novel's intentions, and would have ended up as a typical product of the culture that Bradbury bemoaned in Fahrenheit 451. Not that the book's message does not have to be told. It is more relevant now than ever. Fortunately we still have Truffaut's film and Bradbury's book, which a critic has labelled 'subversive'. That it is, and we are glad that we are still allowed to read it. That is, if we can find the time ... We’d asked this question in a quiz contest that we had conducted a short few weeks after Bradbury died in 2012: François Truffaut directed this 1966 SF epic based on a novel by a writer who was a cult unto himself. The writer, a lover of books, wanted to express his anguish in ‘a story about how television destroys interest in reading literature’. The character of Guy Montag, the protagonist, was perhaps created in the image of the author himself. The name alludes to a pseudo-scientific fact. We want the name. In Fahrenheit 451, the last thing the government wants is thinking and informed citizens. So, firemen burn books. As Heinrich Heine said, "Where they burn books they will also burn people." Bradbury sensuously describes of a book thrown out and set alight: A book alighted, almost obediently, like a white pigeon, in his hands, wings fluttering. In the dim wavering light, a page hung open and it was like a snowy feather. Delicately, like the petals of a flower, light the first page, light the second page. Each becomes a black butterfly. The books leapt and danced like roasted birds, their wings ablaze with red and yellow feathers. Truffaut filmed the scene lyrically. One is struck by Bradbury's prophetic predictions of current social trends, showing a keen extrapolation of the trends of his time. Forget the Stalinist dystopia of Eric Blair's 1984. Bradbury predicted the future more vividly. In the words of Fire Chief Beatty (who epitomises this future society): On the TINA (There Is No Alternative) political spirit: If you don't want a man unhappy politically, don't give him two sides to a question to worry him; give him one. Better yet, give him none. Let him forget there is such a thing as war. If the Government is inefficient, top-heavy, tax-mad, better it be all those than people worrying over it. On the information overload and the low quality of information: Give them contests they can win by memorising words to popular songs or names of state capitals or how much corn Iowa grew last year. Chock them so damn full of 'facts' they feel stuffed, but absolutely 'brilliant' with 'information'. Cram them full of non-combustible data. They'll feel they're thinking, they get a sense of motion without moving. They're happy, since facts of that sort don't change. Avoid slippery stuff like philosophy or sociology to tie things up with. That way lies melancholy.

তবে ডার্ক ওয়েব সিরিজটাও তাহলে একটা ক্লাইফাই! নিউক্লিয়ার বিস্ফোরণ এর ফলে মানুষগুলোর জীবনে কিসব উলটপালট হয়ে যায়। তার সাথে যুক্ত হয় টাইম ট্রাভেল, ফলে সম্পর্কগুলোও কেমন পেচিয়ে যায়। ভিডিওটা দেখার পর ধারণাগুলো ২ এ ২ এ চার করতে পারছি। অনেক পড়াশোনা করেছেন। এক কথায় চমৎকার উপস্থাপনা। বাংলাদেশ থেকে ভালোবাসা রইল🌼
