Nice makeup and review. I had a small 19 first in goatskin light cream color, enjoyed it but the leather part of the chain bothered me as it was stiff and the edge of the flap shows dry crack so I let it go. Could not stop missing it so recently added same small size in dark beige lambskin from 21S and totally love it. In lambskin the leather part of the strap is actually soft and leather is much softer while still feels sturdy and resistant to scratches. Thought about longevity and aging out like Boy or Gabrielle, but even if happens in a few years, 19 seems to be the most user friendly and functional bag of all Chanel styles. Compared to my many classics various size/material, the 19 is simply no brainer to gravitate as a grab and go especially when you can just throw things in there. I can even hold it watching TV as a decorative pillow.

Definitely love the color (I have the iridescent white), the top handle and the structure, but you can’t make the long strap shorter and you can’t put it inside the bag to make it a clutch bc of how chunky the chain is... so I am conflicted. When I first saw the 19 in the boutique, I hated it. But now I think it’s an amazing bag, I’m not a quilted leather bag kind of person (I don’t mind quilting as much in caviar), it’s not my style, but I’ll never rule out purchasing one in a tweed. I have one at least Chanel tweed bag on my lifetime wish list, maybe it will be a 19, we’ll see.

Hi, thank you for the video. I am a curvy girl and that is why I went with the large. Now I want the regular size! I have had my 19 in large in black goatskin for a year now and as we are home most of the time, barely used it. My question to you: if you tuck in the chain and use the top handle, can you use it as an evening bag for a wedding? I know my large (medium) is too big for that but how about the regular size (small) like yours?

Hi Jerusha! I have the 19 as well and got on the waiting list for the "medium" (large) without seeing any of the sizes in person except for the Maxi. My SA suggested the large for me however she referred to it as the "medium". I wish she did not do that and just called the large the large. With her referring to the bag as a medium is why I agreed.. If she would have referred to it as a large that it is, I would have requested your size.. 0h well! Lol. Funny how our roles are reversed as I would have preferred your size but I am happy with my large afterall but do prefer the look of your size bag. I am happy to be an owner of the 19 regardless. 💖
