Since I got mine... small black lambskin... it's now my everyday bag! Seriously! It fits so much compared to a medium CF! I do take care of it and I have a bag hook in there so I never need to put it down somewhere questionable in a restaurant etc. I did get some dents and a few light scratches but I have found a miracle product (for black anyway) Just use Saphir black polish (made for shoes primarily but works amazingly!) Just take a microfiber polishing cloth and wrap around your finger and take a SMALL dab of the polish and work it in circles on the dent or scratch. Wait a min for it to dry then buff quickly but lightly to a shine. Do as many times as needed to cover the dent or scratch. It layers beautifully so in the end you won't be able to tell you even had a dent or scratch at all! Yes it's safe. It's made for leather.

Thank you so much for this video. It's refreshing to hear someone else say that they prefer edgier bags and the classic flap doesn't quite fit their style. That's exactly how I feel and have been considering the 19 for a while but haven't found just the right one yet. Love your pros and cons as well.

Here in the states resellers are selling the small Chanel 19 small for more than $500 US dollars up to $1000, more! I did purchase one in goatskin from Fashionphile which was like new condition. However when I received it. - it was so wrinkled and a lot of scuffs on the side and back! Plus no structure ! I called customer service and they told me all of the goatskin bags they sell look the same. I returned and bought the small black lambskin which has more structure than the goatskin one. Could be when you buy used they are not stored correctly? My SA said she and several others have the lambskin and they are holding up better than the goatskin too. I just reserved another lambskin from 21K in caramel which is supposed to be the same color as 21P. Hope it is as I love the color of yours!

Very interesting thanks for sharing that info. I’d of thought goat stood up better than lamb so that’s good to know. I use a sturdy shaped liner which really helps with the structure

The 19 bags are so addicting. I bought a light beige last year and just recently a dark grey from 21B. Great casual bags. I wanted a dark 19 bag but for some reason I don't gravitate towards the black leather. The dark grey is a nice color I think.

I have a problem with my 19 bag. It is lamb skin and when I wear it with the short stripe the bag loses structure on the top and a scratch appears in the middle of the top. Did you find solution for that ?

I didn’t notice. Next time i will take a second look for the structure when I used the stripe. Where did you put the long handle , btw. I held it together with the stripe. Someone showed that the long strap can be placed inside the bag. So we carry it like a handbag and not shoulder or cross body

I just bought the new green 19 and I love it so much! I wanted the caramel but obviously that wasn't available any longer. Definitely not a regrettable purchase but yes they're really heavy. Unfortunately they didn't have the large black tweed here in Dubai else I suspect I would have walked away with 2 haha!

I bought my first Chanel bag 3 days ago and I deliberated between the classic flap and the Chanel 19. As they only had lambskin in the classic flap and the gold hardware was not available on that style I went for the Chanel 19. Although it is lambswool it has a top handle so less ware and tear. It is larger than the classic flap and more versatile. I love it. It also suits my style as I like to dress more edgy! There are also more colours available in this style

I agree with you about the edgy quality, like the boy, both of which I have and really enjoy. The 19 is very soft and comfortable too, as you said, and so is a pleasure to wear. I think I've started on a slippery slope though 😬. Thanks for sharing.

I also love these bags! I was lucky enough to find them in the 21a light grey and got them in both the medium and the large size and I couldn’t decide which to keep, and then the price increase hit so I kept them both. Then the 21b charcoal grey came out and I couldn’t resist it. Got the medium one. No regrets!! It’s such and easy to use bag! What do you waterproof them with? Definitely paranoid about the light color of my light grey ones.
