Beautiful bag. I am not a fan of the 19 and I don’t like the maxi size in general but seeing it on you it actually looks very nice. Me, I will always be a classic double flap kind of girl though.

Hi! I love your bag! I have the same bag! My very first Chanel bag! I love mine! I originally got the maxi like you (the boutique called it large tho). I held onto to it for about 2 weeks and eventually returned it because it was too large for me. Although I love the look of an oversized bag I decided to go down 1 size to the large (although the boutique called it a size medium). I got on the waiting list for the "medium" and the next day my bag arrived! Unbelievable! I got dressed and rushed down there immediately! Lol. My SA stated mine was lambskin however I know they have it in goatskin. How can WE tell what leather it is? I read the lamb and the goat really looks the same and feels the same in this bag. Just wonder if my SA is correct that's all. Lol. I am careful with it regardless. Regarding the aged gold hardware, my SA did tell me that over time the silver underneath will be more visible as the gold wears off in some areas. She said if it (or when it) happens that it is not a defect. Not feeling that at all so I will try to be gentle with the hardware. What grabbed my attention on the bag was the gold top handle and all the chunky hardware! Love it! Also the CC closure! Love the new twist that it gave this Chanel flap! Nice that we were able to get one of the last designs from Karl Lagerfeld since he has now passed. How is yours wearing overall? Any issues to watch out for? How do your store yours, standing up or on it's back? I have mine stuffed just enough to wear the shape is perfect and I store it in its storage bag (I insert the 19 bag into the dust bag and then I store it in its box, and I put the box on the shelf so the bag is actually standing up vs laying down. I am concerned that the quilt puffs may flatten if it lays on it's back stored away. The box as well is the perfect size and keeps the sides of the bag from drooping when it is stuffed. Fabulous Amy from KZbin suggested a bag organizer and has one for her small 19 which is the perfect solution! I'm still waiting for a response back from the company that makes the organizer. I thought i was the only who experienced the Sales associates confusing me but i think they were pretty confused themselves because the bag sizes looked so alike. But there is a maxi, large, small, mini, and a wallet on chain in this style. The maxi and the large come in goat skin and there is also lamb skin available. It is definitely an iconic bag and very beautiful and yes Karl’s last design so it will definitely be worth a lot in sentimental value and in bag value in general. I store mine in the box laying flat i would just worry about the chains not pressing on the bag directly. And the puffs should be fine. It is interesting that you mention the size being a bit large i am thinking of the same as well now and thinking if i should go a size down. I have not notices any major issues besides the hardware slightly wearing off on the top handle area but over all it’s amazing. Enjoy your bag my love! did you think over time the bag material was wrinkled and saggy? I want to buy the maxi but I heard it looks cheap after a while

Great question, i did not end up keeping the maxi and i kept the large instead. I haven’t noticed it looking saggy and wrinkled, i think all bags age differently and also the large has more structure. But if kept well it should not do that.

Hey, i think the maxi is perfect for work and everyday use, i think it is a statement and why not this bag is a special peace so regardless of the size it’s a statement and never too much 😊 also i love my large one and was wearing every day and couldn’t get myself to switch to another bag 😂

It’s a fairly heavy bag, but the upside is it fits a lot. I would say that the hardware is not as heavy as it looks, it’s actually pretty lightweight.

You can definitely fit a MacBook Air 13 in the maxi, not so much in the large. In regards to the bag scratching it would only be if something sharp touched or even something like a nail scratch from opening the bag. But i still love it, i cant get over this piece it truly is iconic. You just have to care for it and enjoy it. It is not heavy it’s actually very light compared to its size and hardware, which leaves you room to put all that you need in your bag. I hope this helped, you are welcome!

Hey Stacy so glad you asked, no i let this one go although i was in love with the look and the oversized style. I started to feel like it was too big for me since i also like wearing it crossbody, and when i saw the large i fell in love with the structure and the way it was sitting one me. In my opinion the maxi carries a lot and is such a cool oversized bag. But large just made sense for daily use and occasional. Also keep in mind the maxi does not have much structure as the large specially on the sides. But it all depends on what you prefer. I hope this helps Stacy.
