The bag features shiny calfskin with vintage gold hardware, and an additional and detachable pouch inside.

This is by far the coolest, most modern looking Chanel bag so far. The classic is so dated, yet this one gives me the 70s Chanel girl, with 2022 relevance to it! Loves it!

Been re-watching your videos before I bought mine and after lols. I just got my bleu marine in medium today. Yes it is very costly and simple design. But simplicity is best. I dont want it to be overly loud and it fits my ipad/macbook .. hopefully this bag can last me for years! Honestly, hopefully it will be as good as it can last.

Thank you so much for such a detailed review. For someone who doesn't have a Chanel boutique nearby, this has been so helpful - especially because we are about the same size/frame. I wanted to get this bag in medium but all the modshots I have seen on IG appear like they're all tall and skinny, so I wasn't sure if it would swallow me whole. @@Kiki-bs5bi It’s a personal choice, I go for the style I want to pursue regardless of what people think. There are worse bags in that world than this. Is drawstring worse than a flap or a open-top book tote? No. I like the pink one and dark grey one too. I would consider the dark grey.

How do you find the wear and tear around where the chain comes out of the bag? Other influencers have been reporting issues which is what stops me from getting this bag even though I love the design a lot

Thanks for watching! I do see small scuff around the leather where the chain comes out but it’s not that obvious. To be honest I used the bag for more than 60 times and of course there’s some wear and tear and I expected it. It’s not being worn faster than what it should be.

I think if you just look at the bag, you can expect that there will be signs of wear in these areas. I don't know what people thought would happen if you processed leather into a design like that!? But it's a casual bag, so why fuss over every little trace of wear? It's supposed to look casual, but it's not supposed to be casual!? What? On the one hand, people want the casual look, but on the other hand, they want the bag to stay in perfect condition!?

The medallion is fixed with the chain but you can move the chain along

The bag really looks great on you but I wouldn't get it because the top is not really secured and it seems like thieves can just reach in through the top opening.

Thanks for watching. I can understand this is one of the disadvantages of the bag indeed. If there will be a flap or a zipped closure it would be more secure. I do like it like this because it gives the bag a more slouchy look ;)

The bag has everything to be another icon and classic of the brand. The design is simple, elegant, practical for everyday use (more practical than the old icons), have the Chanel DNA and is timeless as it goes well with virtually every style and occasion. However, there is something that will take away the timelessness, longevity and will compromise this bag as a new icon: quality! True icons are symbols of quality, beauty and utility, but this bag unfortunately lacks quality. The leather they use is very thin (it looks like the thin leather that is used on gloves), which seems inadequate for the longevity of the product in question. This bag reminds me of Gucci bags, big, timeless, practical. It's just that Gucci bags are made of high quality leather and this one from Chanel doesn't. Also the bag in terms of design, reminds me of a trash domestic sack. But this is a fancy and elegant sack which I like a lot. Much better than the Balenciaga one!

Well said! I also have a mix feeling for this bag. I think the quality is sufficient for mr to make the purchase decision and I love the bag’s design and style. There’re definitely better quality ones out there. But I just love my 22 Bag 🖤

Another reason I love it so much is also that surprise element - I didn’t expect I would like it and I disliked hypes around new items. But it’s so cool!! @@CravingLux Yes it's amazing how our style and point of views evolve over time, and our lifestyle changes over time and so we want/need different things. When it comes to Chanel, it's never say never :D For me, all my Chanel bags are nearly classic flap style (except a couple of 19 bags in small size), so the 22 Bag is definitely a functional Chanel bag for me! For the logo, it's true that I don't know how it will turn out. Maybe I can do a one-year review in the future. But who knows, maybe you will own the 22 Bag in the future too ;)
