I think the flap is more practical and is easier to be worn casually. However the Dior is so beautiful and has the top handle which is really nice. Also something to be said about the service from Dior vs Chanel. I'm biased because I have that LD though 😂

Lady Dior. I find my flap a bit more functional and notice that I reach for it a lot more than my lady for day to day use. But I can't over my lady dior. I absolutely adore it and want it in literally every colour and style. I haven't seen anything out there like it and its a complete show stealer every time.

i like chanel, but the Dior is so much better constructed and the quality is a lot better too. With the feet on the bottom, the thought given to the bag structure, the labelling/details of the grommets. It also looks easier to get in and out of. The shoulder strap also seems more comfortable. I know from experience that the chain on the chanel digs into your skin.

I am lucky enough to own both but I love my Lady Dior bag more. As others have mentioned, it’s a more elegant, intricately designed bag. There’s so much wasted unusable space in the Chanel bag. And I love the charms on my Dior! Cheers from 🇨🇦!

I own both & love them equally. I have the same exact lady dior bag you have & imo one of the prettiest bags I own. I take the lady dior out of the dust bag & admire her every now & then because it's such a pretty shade of pink. I can’t say I do the same with the classic flap but I use the classic flap more since it’s in black caviar leather 😂

As a practical lady, one thing i love about the lady dior is that i can bring out a lot more with me compared to a chanel. The capacity makes it more worth the $, it makes you look elegant and stands out, it can be worn in the day or for nights out. Its an accessory on its own.

Great info!!! I own a vintage Chanel Diana bag & am researching Lady Dior bags. I am a history buff & love that the Lady Dior wasn’t called that until Princess Diana carried one that was gifted to her on a trip to Argentina. Hi! I am brand new to your channel and have watched your videos when you first purchased the LD. Thank you for being very informative and giving such a concise, critical evaluation of the bag. I also loved this video I just watched, as well. I have a few CF's and love all of them, but the Chanel HUGE price increases have just turned me off to purchasing any more of their bags, which is such a shame. I seriously looked at the Lady Dior medium size bag when I was in Dallas this past spring. I love the look of the bag but am now possibly interested in the small size because of the shoulder strap. Does anyone have anything to share about getting the LD in the calfskin leather instead of the Lambskin for durability? Thanks for making such an enjoyable and informative video. Take care! 😊

Dior hands down, especially in the past few years with the degradation of Chanel's quality and customer service, and their exorbitant price hikes. I'm turned off by Chanel at this point, and will no longer buy bags from the boutique. But would happily add even more Lady Diors in various sizes and colors from the boutique. I also am partial to a versatile bag that can be carried via top handle, shoulder, or crossbody. So the Lady Dior ticks all the boxes, even though it's slightly more finicky (especially in the small ABC size with the feet!)

I own both. Exact same chanel and a black lady Dior in medium with a zipper top (older style). I much prefer chanel. It makes me feel a type of way. Both you have are very beautiful, but I am Team Classic Flap, primarily for design and practicality: 1) I do not like the chunky handle of the Lady Dior (seems a little old lady-ish, doesn't always look good with different sizes, doesn't look like you could comfortably hang this bag on your shoulder), 2) I think I prefer having handbags that have more compartments available for organization, and 3) I'm not a big fan of the Dior logo charms. I recently heard them described in another review as sounding like "windchimes," which I know would bother me. I'm not opposed to the idea of getting a Lady Dior in the future, but I would need to see a style that really speaks to me (such as the houndstooth variation from a few years ago, which seems very difficult to find) or would need to jump on a model that has the charms either removed entirely or simply not made of metal. And when it comes to classic flap, which I do have in a vintage '90s model, I really appreciate that I can easily change the strap length, have clear spaces to store my items, and have the added security of the double flap and lock. I save it for special occasions, since I don't think the style lends itself well to casual wear, and while I am still getting used to the idea of carrying around a lux staple like the classic flap, I know it's still understated enough not to draw too much attention to itself, and I know that my goods are secure. The fold over flap of the Lady Dior doesn't look secure at all to be frank. Unfortunately, for me, the selling point of the Lady Dior is simply its elegance, and I'm not at a point in time where that's enough for me to seriously consider purchasing one, unless it really speaks to me.

I only own the CF. However I’ve always thought the lady is so much prettier. I have not bought one as my goal was to get my CFs before I would be priced out since you can get a great deal on the preloved market for a lady. So I figured get the Chanels first then move to the lady. So far only 1 more Chanel on my list to go.

I have both of them. I admire them in different way. The lady Dior is so feminine. When I wear dress or skirt of course she will be out with me. For classic flap, I can dress up or down with it. So glad you enjoyed the video! The only tweed I have is the large Chanel o case. I’ve featured it a few times on my channel and I adore it. But I think that one is enough for me, without needing to add a full size handbag in tweed. To me, it’s a seasonal vibe for fall/winter so a bit limiting but I do love seeing tweed bags on other people. They’re very eye catching especially in pops of color or fun patterns! 😊

I have both. Many Chanel bags and just the one Lady, like yours except in gray. Chanel has my heart but I also love the Lady Dior. I got it in Hawaii about a year ago with the Hawaii discount and no tax! However, I have not worn it yet for many reasons, pandemic, etc. I hope that changes though, because it is so pretty. I do have to say that I have not worn my classic double flaps either. My faves these days are the mini rectangular and square so right now I guess I am neither team unless we count them as Classic Flaps then I am Team Classic Flap all the way. 😀

I love vids like these even tho I'm not a big fan of both. But if ever I will chose the Classic Flap but in single flap bec I don't like heavy bags. Even tho it's a classic signature and works for Coco the extra flap is no use to me just added weight. I know some likes the aesthetics but I don't wanna carry art over functionality.I tried picking up a LD in a beautiful black leather and boy it's so heavy and too much charms dangling bugs me🙄. This is just my personal preference guys and I still admire when people rock their lux bags!

Aw okay. So I chose the lion, the heart, and the dragonfly. Leo is my zodiac sign and I love lions (just like Coco Chanel 😉). The heart is for my kids. The dragonfly, I simply like them. Whenever I see a dragonfly, I feel at peace. I later learned that dragonflies symbolize transformation and rebirth. ❤️

I prefer Dior because Chanel it's really poor quality whether it's makeup bag jewelry or clothes because 1 week ago I went to Chanel to buy glasses a bag and a knit I take the bag out of the box and the chain fits the knit there was a hole seriously I do not recommend this brand I find that Dior has better quality it is better and more beautiful

I'm sorry, those prices are ridiculous. No way the craftsmanship supports that. I'd rather have pre-loved authentic or a superfake, sadly.

Preloved authentic, yes. The Lady Dior in particular doesn’t hold its value on the second hand market so you can find deals. And Chanel’s vintage quality is 👌.

Pre-loved authentic is a good option, especially for lady dior. Superfake just supports a scam market which I would never suggest anyone to buy.
