For me, the Chanel Reissue is to the Classic Flap, what the LV Damier is to the Monogram Canvas = Understated. Because it's not screaming "look at me I'm Chanel" it could easily be mistaken for an "inspired" bag... only those in the know will realize it's an authentic model. Bijou in French means jewellery which describes this chain pretty well because it is only metal and it comes in different colors and some intricate work on it. And you can also, for the reissue, wear the handbag as a clutch and wrap the chain around your wrist to give the illusion of a bracelet.

Hey Mel, thanks for such an informative video! I love the reissue (even more than the classic flap)! In my workplace and in my daily life, I tend to wear bags that don't have explicit/easily visible logos, and I think the reissue is perfect for that - it's classy and refined, yet understated. Also, I like the ability to wear it crossbody without having it sit at a weird length on my body. I might add a beige reissue with ghw to my collection, after having seen how beautiful yours is :) I currently have the small with black aged calfskin and ruthenium hw.

The distressed leather actually is so beautiful and you don't need to worry about scratches too! The re-issue does also come in caviar, metallic leather, suede etc but i honestly love the distressed calfskin the best. Def one to consider hunnie xoxo

Hi Mel, I have been enjoying your videos. You are a natural at it.. I just took out my reissue 226 that I purchased in London Jan 2014 in the metallic pink champagne colour ( don't remember the exact name of shade) and checked the bottom of my bag as I don't remember it having a soft folded bottom. (I hardly use the bag due to the colour ). The bottom of my bag is pretty stiff similar to my jumbo. Could the soft foldable bottom be a revised version or only applies to distressed leather? Anyhow I am heading to the Chanel boutique later to ask. Just thought you may be interested to know. Have a lovely day😀

Hi. I saw the reissue in beige quilted leather today and it's so pretty. Althought originally I was looking for the chevron pattern but now I'm torn. I'm more of a classic girl but the chevron looks so good on the reissue. Any suggestions which one to get? :) Thanks. P.S. I feel the same. Yes sadly it was denim. I've washed it quite a times and thought it was ok after that. the denim was fr Forever 21 store. it was a transfer on to my LV idylle bag. I am extra careful now with my YSL wallet on chain that's in powder pink colour.
